  1. The team was tailored around him, much like it was Dack before. Its obvioulsy to turn transfers into profit - which has obviously worked out. Now its BB's turn and then it will be Gallacher. Nothing wrong with that. AA has not had many good seasons and is getting found out at the top level. Sure, lay them on a plate for a striker that takes 5/6 shots per game to get 1 or 2,
  2. You cant just ignore that he had more shots than anyone in the divison. Wether thats TM, or w/e he was bound to score goals/
  3. Champ Manager was, and still is, class. Much better than Football Manager today which is just too much.
  4. Merry Christmas all, if there is one thing I have learnt this year, it is not what you have around but who you have around you. Please don't forget the unfortunate before splashing your wealth all over social media today. 1 in 5 families are below the poverty line and making do this year. Let's hope that 2022 brings us all a better year!
  5. Same, i had a read around some of the forums of other clubs Mowbray has managed preivously (Coventry/Boro etc) to see what they were thinking about our position. On all of them, it was "they still have to deal with the post-Christmas Mowbray yet". Many tipping us to fall away - same on the Preston forums. Its alarming that these second half of the season spirals are not just consigned to his time here. I am just hoping and praying he sticks to what he is doing and we stay in contention. I'm certainly not in the TM out camp at the moment - dont think anyone can be considering our position (even if we still feel he is not the right manager long term). Would be suicide right now. If he gets us up or the playoffs at minimum - it is a great/good achievement. Still not sure he would do much for us in the PL, but I doubt many would - but boy we need that money.
  6. They do, I understand that. Just pointing out we wouldn't be happy if the shoe was on the other foot.
  7. Bit unfair though, not sure we'd be so happy to have so many games behind others.
  8. Or Mehdi Zerkane who was linked to Villa in the summer.
  9. Yeah without this worrying back injury, its a no-brainer and I was excited when we were apparently in for him int he summer. As we know, he failed the medical due to this injury. Now, i'm not as excited.
  10. My opinion too. Pre-season it was not an expectation for me, but now that we're up there, I would deem falling out of the top 6 as another failed season.
  11. Concentrate on ourselves and the rest takes care of itself. At this point though, would we consider it a failure if we did not at least secure a playoff place from the position we find ourselves at the moment?
  12. A statue? Jeezus. Statues should be for club legends. Dalgeish, Hughes, Souness all deserve one 100x more than TM and i probably wouldnt want any of them getting one.
  13. Buckley has never played left back . Dack has to earn a spot, we wont just budge out our top assister and arguably one of the top 3 best players of the seaon.
  14. Be a good time for Brum to get it called off. They wont fancy us in our form.
  15. Still think it was a good idea they got rid of MM? Wonder if their supporters do - it all been downhill since...still, perhaps they play pretty football now?
  16. Im not saying footballers deserve what they get - the world is crazy - but denying them a Christmas is a bit much.
  17. Do they? Some 'celebs' earn their money from becoming bloggers - doing nowt for their money. And i hihgly doubt even proper celebs like actors and actresses have to work as physcially hard as footballers.
  18. So we need to ban Christmas for celebrities, retired self-made millionaires, and anyone else with money?
  19. League One player of the month in September and November, can play AM, and all across the frontline. Bullet of a right foot, set piece specialist and I think 9 goals and 7 assists in 20 matches this season.
