Met Kenny and his family, including the (back then) gorgeous Kelly (about my age at the time too) and his son Paul when on holiday in La Manga the season after we won the league. Only spoke to him for a few minutes but I never had any trouble understanding him. And no, I did not manage to pull Kelly, though she did comment on the Joop aftershave I was wearing.

People just look at goals and assists, something he has improved on btw. Its not that though, he scares the life out of teams and can do stuff nobody else in this team can. I don't care if he gets the final pass or scores, he makes things happen. Been in top 3 players of season so far for me and him walking for free would be sacrilege. Nobody in our team breezes past 3, 4 or 5 players with ease like he can.

The people belittling how important Rothwell is, were probably those doing that with Raya. Problem is the manager, coaches and everyone else.

I would try Pickering RB (apparently played there a lot for Crewe) and stick Edun at LB. Got to stop with CBs at fullback and vice versa.

Yes one of them is a right cretin. I think many have reported him to various places including the club, trading standards, police. He was trying to sell for 120 quid each or 200 for a pair if i remember correctly.

In the case of Nyambe and Rothwell, I bet they are among some of the lowest earners among the senior squad. Dack is certainly a top earner, Gallagher (shockingly) will be considering he was on 25k at Southampton, Ayala would not have come on a cheap wage. BB, though young involved a big fee, so his wage wont be insignificant, AA (now gone) certainly was on more than both, and then the likes of Johnson, and some of those now gone would have been on more such as Holtby, Evans etc. Nyambe came from the academy so will be on peanuts (was rumoured to be 5k per week) and Rothwell was signed from a League 1 club. I imagine they now want some kind of parity as some of the more senior players left. I'd be fuming if SG was on more than me tbh (probably at least triple both of them).

I could have predicted it. Coventry have started well but they will drop away. Just a case of teams figuring them out as they've just come up. Agree that this is a very poor quality division this season. That just makes it so much more frustrating that we didn't do good business in the window.

Forgot that they signed Josh Bowler, always looked good when I've seen him. We'd have been better off snapping him up than wasting money on this Poveda.

I highly doubt there was this massive offer too, it had been obvious the club were putting AA into the shop window throughout the season. They needed the sale to balance the FFP books due to signing SG and BB on big fees. Originally the plan would have been Dack, so they got lucky that AA stepped up. That said, whether the contract offer is true or not, just saying it is a massive contradiction. If we break wage structure for one player, others start asking for increases etc. So why would that not have happened when AA signed his massive contract? For a start, Nyambe will not be on much and coming from league 1, I doubt Rothwell is either - surely they deserve contracts in line with what their roles in the team are. Rothwell is arguably one of our most important players and Nyambe is the only RB we got.

Still reeling. I think generally the team put in a decent amount of effort and injuries played a huge part. However, subs were atrocious. Why put Magloire on and go back 3? Not up to it unfortunately. Plus, it took Buckley back out wide where we know he is ineffective. As for that Poveda - I would have played better and i am in my mid-40's. He should be sent back. Lack of desire, effort, and ability. Khadra has something and at least he showed that he wanted to do well.

Lost patience with Gallagher now. Sure, he is out of position but ffs, basic ability he does not have.

Would have been tempted to make Ayala captain myself. Most experienced player in the side, playing well, and is fantastic at organising and barking orders.

Heard he is a bit of a squealer when tackled and makes a pigs-ear of it when trying to cross the ball. Wont be missed for Hudds as much as I will miss the bacon sarnie I forgot to bring to work.
