  1. Looks good on video, but so do I if you just catch my best bits. Amount of times I nutmegged the fabulous Dave from the local, and buried it in the far corner after a deflection off my other mates nans nickers that somehow fell onto the pitch. I love his nans nickers! Still, looks decent and a potential replacement.
  2. London born ( most wont here wont like that admittance) and grew up there until 9 (and a half) before moving to Blackburn. Now, work in London, ironically, Won't attend till Venky's gone, so not really sure why I'm posting. But, hey ho.
  3. He has BBD as a left midfielder even in a 4-4-2, is this guy Mowbray's son?
  4. You would imagine that would be a part of it. Probably supplementing his salary over his contract.
  5. Rothwell and Nyambe next out the door - contracts on table but unsigned. Then next season - those with a squishy stomach shouldn't be looking at who we're probably gonna lose.
  6. Its not what you know but who you know. How fortunate this guy is to be best mates with Mowbray, the employee that employed his boss.,
  7. I think most are not suggesting we field our strongest eleven. But there has to be a balance. We shouldn't just forfeit a cup run so that we can finish 17th. We have to field a team that TM (oh god) feels is capable of winning the match. Bring the match fitness up for players that we need up to speed, give some game time to those that need a bit more experince, but at the same time, have a sprinkling of experiences pros.
  8. The caveat in all this is "if the player wants to come". Which is the bit that worries me. Southampton could have done us a proper fck over on this if they wanted.
  9. Perhaps. I dunno, felt he was buzzing from first half, rightly so, lots of pats on the back, and got a bit carried away. Tiredness came into it though, for sure.
  10. That's the crux of it. You could say that stat is bloated because he was a bit greedy and took shots when he shouldn't have - but who is to say that wasn't a TM thing? I think he is generally a decent finisher but when you're pot shotting at every opportunity its not good for the team. One on ones though, needs to work on that for sure.
  11. Match fitness also comes into it. Its another game to get some of our players up to match fitness. Buckley, for example, was obviously gone after an hour on Saturday. I can understand not risking players, but what is the point in just fielding the u23s and hoping for the best? It has to be a team picked on a variety of factors. Our injury prone players should be nowhere near the team and we should feature some of those knocking on the door. Other than that, pick players that will win you the match. Why pay the bus fare otherwise?
  12. Are we going to open a new thread for every rumour/link? Is this the new thing?
  13. Think we should all relax and have a glass of the finest red wine.
  14. Was the most impressive I have seen of him. Think he can have a good season. Bit worried about his second half, think he tried too hard. Good start nonetheless.
  15. You should never hold opinions of others fans that greatly, we're a little gutted to lose 20+ goals a season. However, club needed the money, was in last year of contract, and with TM at the helm and with our chicken choker owners, the guy obviously wants a shot at top level, who would complain about him wanting to go. As for my opinion. I hope he goes on to become a good quality PL forward, is still young and so can still improve. However, on Ings level, he is not by quite some way. Bit of pace but not electric, head down kind of striker, more selfish than he should be, and is not as clinical as his goal tally might seem. Think he took 3 times more shots on goal than Toney did (stand to be corrected) and still finished second top scorer in the league. That said, wish the kid well, all footballers want to progress and now he has his chance. Hopefully this deal repayus you for Shearer, though that would take some monumental impact. Shearer: Southampton - Blackburn - Newcastle Armstrong: Newcastle - Blackburn - Southampton
  16. On Pederson, its a year old but thought id post this. The lad did love the club. https://www.planetfootball.com/in-depth/morten-gamst-pedersen-i-cried-when-i-left-blackburn-i-rejected-big-offers/
  17. We bought our Chilean superstar based on one good game.
  18. I agree, but its a bit odd labelling Kaminski as the better GK when we bought him for peanuts, sold Raya for a few million and the latter is now worth 3 times that - Kaminski must be worth 20 million.
  19. I am very happy with Kaminski and think he has been great. Yet, I don't see PL teams testing our resolve for him while Raya is now a PL starter.
  20. On a side note, why don't we ever release extended highlights? I thinks its a good idea but only a few clubs in this division do it. Put it this way, when I googled Rovers v Swansea highlights, i picked Swansea's extended highlights over watching Rovers 2 min clip reel. Still have not even watched ours. That's 1 view lost - but how many more did what I did?
  21. Yeah, that co-commentator - as soon as I heard his voice I remembered him from all the highlights of all the games we played from last season. He was the one that stood out. I get you're a fan but christ.
