Derby are a completely different proposition to Rovers last season... The season prior we could and probably should have got play-offs.. While we lost Brereton, Sammy stepped up and until it went sour with JDT we were flirting with the Play-offs again.. Granted it did go incredibly sour, but when Eustace came in, despite our wretched form, did we not have a few point cushion between us and the bottom three? Derby have come up with a fairly poor side.. They're already in the shit and look devoid of confidence.. I really think Eustace is going to have his work cut out keeping this lot up.. Hull have lots of quality.. Luton you'd expect to string a few results together.. It'll be tight but unless they have a few absolute gems hiding in their academy it's going to be a very, very close run thing... Rovers UP, Venkys OUT, Derby DOWN! Perfect!

This "I don't want short-term success" bollocks.. What other metric is there to judge a manager on if not the success on the pitch? If that success is attained sooner how on earth can that be a negative thing? Especially with the financial rewards that come with it.. It's always a 'project'.. 'Building for a few years'.. We've had enough.. In my opinion that kind of language could be used to soften expectations and buy a manager more time.. I'd rather have a manager come in and think short-term, get us into those play-off's and give us a crack at the Premier League..

Whether Eustace stays or doesn't the issues that plague the club aren't going anywhere. So let's just try pulling off a miracle. As you said, the contract situation and short-term thinking is disastrous and will eventually, you would think, lead to us being relegated...

The issue is the ownership imo. However, they're going nowhere. We are in a very decent position. Someone like Edwards, Warnock et.al, might just be able to pull off a miracle.. Venkys out!
