  1. Mowbray obviously thinking Dack will be here next season and will start .
  2. After the success of the £10 ticket policy for the Oxford game built in with a very successful season we re going to see possibly 24000 plus actual Rovers fans on the ground . Hypothetically how well would a radical reduction in prices work for season tickets on the basis you attract more customers work ? Would there be enough takers ? My idea being say .. Season tickets slashed to an average of £250 ...with say a take up of what 17000 or possibly more ? supporters buying generating £ 4,250,000,with reduced walk on prices thrown in against now an average ? of £375 with say 12000 supporters buying generating £4,500,000. Would the fanbase actually take advantage or is it even be there to cover the cost lost by reducing season ticket prices ? throw in extra revenue from food sales etc .The Oxford game seems to say yes. Again just hypothetical but plausible ?
  3. Im more excited that TMs already on the move and seemingly being allowed to strengthen the squad already. Hopefully bodes well for future signings !
  4. Nice to read another teams forum whos posters seem well informed and complimetary about Blackburn/Mowbray/Our situation/Owners for once. They all sound gutted to be losing him but wish him well ..must have made a great impression at Hibs.
  5. Harry is going to have a lot to prove ..coming back after another injury and stepping up to the Championship ..not nailed on as being a success. Two major injuries at Rovers plus four months out at Sheff Utd ..hes due a change in luck .. i hope .
  6. Andy Holt wants to get onto McDonalds ..can see a possible sponsorship tie up with them of some sorts ..like the old Milk Marketing board ad!
  7. You could also then spin it the other way and say why reduce ticket prices for OAPs ?. They ve had the chance to work all their lives and save for the future. Why reduce ticket prices to a group of people who may not be here physically next year ? (not my own personal view btw but one that could stand up to your reasoning) The idea is to subsidise tickets to groups to catch their support and interest with a view for getting them hooked for future years. Grow and expand the fanbase . And for anyone who thinks that that age group is flush with cash in this day and age needs to think again. Ive just watched my daughter and partner save for years to get 15-20% lump sum to put down to secure a mortgage ! Banks arent chucking money at you like they were 30-40 years ago. Every group age has its limitations financially ..but the idea is to target an age group that hopefully will get the bug and be financially able to come to Ewood in future years.

  11. Yep seeing as our season was so called well and truly over after ten games ..
  12. Finally having faith in this side to actually come out and spin games on their head when things arnt going to plan !
  13. Shouting ...."Come on Rovers ffs...!!!! " and then suddenly surrounded by five dogs called Rover ... Although this boy is up for it ..
  14. Players for me. British footballers ? Useless. Even in the Premier League now ... good British footballers are few and far between (look at the national teams). Start dropping Leagues and the standard is shocking. Tactics are wasted on most because they simply cant do the basics. Again any team in this league can lose a game and then win one and imo its just a lottery in certain games who will win.Managers cant make a silk purse out of a sows ear but thats what most in this league are having to try and do, some will get lucky but the majority wont and yes i do believe a lot is luck in this league. Dreams of 1995 named a few players he grew up watching ... well over half are foreign ..says it all to me.
  15. The biggest cost is the price of paper.Printing presses are ready to rock n roll whatever the job put on them.
  16. I wouldnt think they make anything on the actual sale of the programmes but will make money on the adverts that are placed in it. In the Championship we only produced 3000 programmes per match. Will be even less now.
