No ambition?? TM might have inherited a lot of the squad but I would argue he has developed most of them into better footballers with a better attitude. He has brought in young, hungry players (Dack, Armstrong, Rothwell, Nuttall, Reed(on loan), hopefully Chapman, and then the likes of Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Travis have blossomed under his leadership. Yes some of his signings haven't worked out but that happens at every club. Look at Man United! He has stated all along, and I don't know why people don't revert back to this point before slating him, that this isn't a case of sign everyone he wants this season and go shit or bust on promotion. 3/4 transfer windows is what the plan was. I for one would be happy with that.

If we can't get anybody in January at a price that is right then I am happy to wait until the summer. No point rushing in and signing just anyone as cover. It's all going to be about next season. This season is about stability and laying foundations for a promotion push next year. If we ended up getting promoted this year it would be nothing short of miraculous, but God I would dread next season in the Premier league. We would be whipping boys. Look at Fulham, they have spent 100+ millions and are in dire straits. If we can stick with this squad with perhaps a loan or two coming in this next week and finish mid table, then I think we will have completed our mission. I still have faith in TM even if others don't.

I know the lad has had hamstring issues, but surely if he can pass a medical he has to be a cracking signing. I think loaning him out to a league 1 team, that will start him week in week out, for the rest of the season will be a massive benefit to us and a real promotion push next season.

Bennett and Conway too I would imagine.

I would imagine with a full squad, it is worked on. TM loves a back 3 and if Lenihan, Rodwell and Mulgrew are fit then that is a quality back line.
