  1. I only wrote that so it'll stave off the questions until Monday morning.
  2. Depends on what your expectations are I suppose. Any sale is a good sale, but banking on thousands to take up the offer would be foolish.
  3. Yes I do. But I'm not sure I'm at liberty to divulge the details.
  4. You really need to look at clearing out your cache, again I can see the site this morning (PC Firefox 1.07)
  5. With the reserves not having a game until the new year, the likes of Hodge, Garner, and Nolan will all likely play (and all internationals at their age levels too), adding some much needed experience to the young side.
  6. Happy to help where I can. Can I remind everyone that next Monday Rovers take on Tottenham Hotspur at Ewood Park in the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup. Free entry for Season Ticket Holders, £3 Adults, £1 concessions for those who aren't.
  7. Dillo, try it in Safari, it is working for me right now, and in fact has always worked for me. Empty your cache and ensure that (in IE) you've got it set to check for an update page on every visit
  8. I'm not doing a daily update of ticket sales, its a waste of my time and a waste of the ticket office staff who I keep having to bug. Yesterday, as I posted here and on the official messageboard 1600+ had been sold, it'll increase further when it goes on open sale, but I personally can't see us selling 5000. I think around the 3500 would be more likely. Hopefully I'm proved wrong.
  9. With the amount of cheap flights from the UK to mainland Europe and then excellent transport links to and from Germany, I can see many people doing trips of this nature.
  10. I've no network disk but had no problems setting things up for Pro Evo. With wires.
  11. Ozzie, please phone the ticket office to ask, I wouldn't want to give out any mis-guided advice. Just over 1600 tickets have been sold to date for Wigan, so thats just under a third snapped up. They'll go on open sale this Friday.
  12. This will get posted on the website at a suitable time, but I got this passed on from Wigan: Wigan Athletic V Blackburn Rovers Saturday 31st December 2005 Visit Our Marquee Away Supporters Bar (Situated in the North Stand) Admission FREE of Charge Doors Open at 1pm LARGE SCREEN WITH SKY SPORTS!!!!
  13. Knee injury, expected to be out for a month or so I've heard. Sergio has been part of the 20 man squad for quite some time now. If he keeps this up it won't be long before he makes the 16. I can certainly see him making a first team appearance before the season ends.
  14. Man City played their strongest side possible, most of the lads were 18 and they had their couple of overage players in there too. Most of the Academy side that played saturday (and most saturdays) were first year lads, some that had only just turned sixteen. I don't have time to look through the reserve side that played tonight, but I'd say that more than half would still be eligible to feature for the Academy, in fact all of the bench except Garner played on Saturday for Gary Bowyer's side. Which means that the current crop of Academy players have actually been doing very well as they've been coming up against players that are a couple of years older. 92er, in the four or five Academy games I've seen this season I'd say it isn't hit and hope stuff, it can be hit forward early looking for the pace of our frontmen (sound familiar?) but generally it is played out to the wingers. The Academy isn't there to produce under 18 league winning sides, it is there to provide players for the first team, and a lot of them have already made the step up to the next level which is the reserves. I have no doubt that at some point the likes of Peter, Taylor, Nolan and Treacy will be knocking heavily on that first team door.
  15. Thats the fella Kelvin, the lad is huge. And BTW Unleaded, it is Thomas and Thomson. If you are going to slag 17 year olds off then at least get their names right!
  16. You've seen them once yet base all those opinions on one game? I'm glad the coaches don't! The Manchester City player who scored a hat-trick was a centre forward who was about 6' 5" nothing like Dadson, regardless of them playing in different positions. I didn't catch his name but it certainly wasn't that. I certainly have no recollections about slating the National Academy system.
  17. That league table isn't up-to-date, it doesn't include the Rovers game from what I can see as Saturday was the 4th time we've lost and I'd already noted that if City defeat us then they'd go above us.
  18. Ha ha, I know the Chairman at Torquay, he's great bloke, he runs their website!
  19. I've had my network adapter for a couple of weeks now and I'm fed up of playing against random french blokes who always select Brazil and then log themselves off when they start losing. So yes, I'm up for a game. Don't know how you can actually select who to play though, not got that far.
