It was trialled on a Thursday afternoon for the last couple of games last season. And the concensus from the press was that they prefrerred it to a Friday morning. And of course Hughes preferred it too. Also there is the greater chance of getting a player to talk as they'll have just finished training. Souness preferred 9.30am Friday, when Hughes arrived he moved training to later and the press conf moved to 10am.

I'm amazed to read that people thought Australia actually had a chance of getting the target. I don't think it entered the heads of any of the fans, certainly not where I was sat (in front of the scoreboard). It was great to be a fan again, drinking beer, singing songs, sledging "highlights" and "Ali G" (scott will know who I mean as he was in the same section). A brilliant day out, great value for money, I was so glad I decided to go.

The London branch used to drink in a pub in Whitechapel with some bizarre name that ended in Head (not like the kings head or the queens head) But regardless, last time I went that way it wasn't there anymore. That was helpful wasn't it!

Hannah, before deciding specs and such, you want to know what need to use the laptop for. If its for Word/Exel and internet then you can get away with pretty basic specs, if you want to do picture manipulation or play games then you are looking at a more expensive. If its the former, I'd go for an iBook, in fact, they've got a an offer on right now

Pre-season friendlies are all about money, Rovers earned money going to Germany/Austria, they'll earn money playing Morecambe, Swansea and Grimsby. We pay Espanyol (and their agents) for them to play us. Thats how it all works. Like Bob says, would you prefer it if we played no pre-season games at home? Also, no-one has noted that kids can get in for just £1.

Its a load of tosh actually, he jarred his knee when making a tackle and was took off as a precaution. I spoke to him afterwards and he wasn't concerned at all. Dunno if he'll play on Saturday though.
