  1. also by having a good agent, alot of the transfer speculaton is generated by the agents in football today and if they can bring in tons of interest for their player, it means clubs paying more salary, bounus etc and then of cause the agent will recieve a bigger cut of the deal.
  2. if souness takes the palace job and with matty jansen out of contract at bolton, the former palace player may return to selhurst park and work under souness again to spearhead their challenge for promotion.
  3. on the upside i would say kaltenberg is alright compared to say skol
  4. hoffland didn't make the dutch world cup squad either i beleve? his career has really been going down hill for a while.
  5. i'll agree with that, sourpuss came in and done the business back then for us, automatic promotion too. depending on the relationship with simon jordan and how the players react to his management style shall i say, he could turn them into promotion candinates or ruin them and get relegated!!!
  6. 2006 Spain World Cup Squad: Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Pepe Reina (Liverpool), Santiago Canizares (Valencia) Defenders: Antonio Lopez (Atletico Madrid), Pablo Ibanez (Atletico Madrid), Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Juanito (Real Betis), Asier del Horno (Chelsea), Michel Salgado (Real Madrid), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Carlos Marchena (Valencia) Midfielders: Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal), Jose Antonio Reyes (Arsenal), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Xavi (Barcelona), Joaquin (Real Betis), Luis Garcia (Liverpool), Xabi Alonso (Liverpool), David Albelda (Valencia), Marcos Senna (Villarreal) Forwards: Fernando Torres (Atletico Madrid), Raul (Real Madrid), David Villa (Valencia) i really think spain this year could go all the way, the squad looks abit short up front though raul, villa and torres are immense you could say if needed reyes and garcia could be pushed to a support striker. the suprise players left out were morientes and baraja. morientes has struggled all season in scouseland but baraja was a well big surprise having played in most of the qualifying games. this looks a strong squad on paper mixed with youth and experience with plenty of pace, skill and technique. Spain have had some bad luck in recent years but maybe this year it could all change depending on their attitude.
  7. looking at the teams i wouldn't mind making the trip to feyenoord in holland or travelling to one of the teams in czech republic would be a good laugh too.
  8. imo it was disrespectful that jansen lost his shirt number to dickov. dickov in the whole of his career has never been as good as jansen "was" or maybe even is imo. fairplay in the end it was time for jansen to be on his bike  and hughes gave him his chance but everybody could see he wasn't the same player and i'll hold my hands up to that that hughes made the right desicion to let him leave ewood. as for age, crayons and amanda my version of that is almost the same, a true story is i was in the first year of primary school, i drew all over a girl called amanda(different surname) on her face everywhere, put paint in her hair and stuck things to her with glue coz we thought it was funny. i had to sit on the naughty carpet for the rest of the afternoon, oh happy days
  9. what sort of poker game would it be, texas hold em seems to be the in thing at the moment? i'd be in for sure, played a few times on the net and i have a few traps to lay from the tricks i've picked up, the only bad thing about poker on the net is that you can't see the other person sweating it out bluffing unless we all hooked up webcams or something hahahaha
  10. jerome according to skysports http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=38...ome+bid+snubbed
  11. the bottom line is that dickov is now history and we are looking at far better things. as for if he was crap, worked hard or just plain useless... everybody has their own opinion but we don't need to worry about that anymore. personally i'm glad he is gone, i don't think the bloke knew what the offside rule was the amount of times he was well offside and continued to moan at the linesman. his technique for control and shooting was rubbish, fairplay he worked hard and did manage to score some vital goals but i don't think people can compare him to andy cole well apart from the offside rule bit. oh yeah and i still hold a grudge for dickov taking matty jansens number 10 shirt, well gutted about that especially as i have the shirt but he's gone now so hopefully one of our new summer signings will be in the elite catagory of players and do the number 10 shirt proud
  12. there is a rumour going round work that the bottom line reason henry stayed was because his wife who is english didn't want to move abroad. yes he loves arsenal, the fans etc....but his wife was the biggest reason.
  13. i just want to clear something up, if you deny a clear goal scoring opertunity...i.e. last man(defending player or goal keeper) it is a straight red card right for example lastnight, eto danced round the german and would of gone on to score but his was brought down so fair enough. so if the ref didn't blow for the free kick, played advantage and let i think it was guily score, he can't award the goal turn round and send off lehmann as he has not stopped a clear goal scoring oppertunity anymore as barcelona have scored? so to sum up, the ref lastnight sent of the keeper, arse down to 10 and 0-0. the other option was to play advantage, barca lead 1-0 and it's 11 v 11, simple as that
  14. this table looks well daft to me, some of the clubs ranked higher than us are awful and i havn't a clue about all the numbers, some sort of rating system i guess?
  15. the sending off was harsh, don't like the german but the ref should of played advantage and it would of been 11 vs 11. the ref didn't have control all game, even the arsenal goal wasn't a free kick outside the box and the diving all game was unbelevible. 3rd eye: did anyone see the barca sub goalie slip and fall over in a heap on the platform when they left the stage with the cup??? henry moaning at the end of game interview, if he was tired he should of been subbed but he was to selfish to go off for some fresh legs and wenger was probably to scared to take him off as he would of walked off down the tunnel and would leave arsenal for sure. he is the captain too but if your out of gas your not helping your team, it's then 11 vs 9.
  16. it's some sort of fort/castle i think it's called Schlosshotel Buhlerhohe. here's a link/video http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/video_and_...ide/4304501.stm
  17. looks like the carlos rumours are true...> http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=38...rms+Blues+talks
  18. and me, i was there!!! it was the most immense birthday of all time. happy days
  19. the bottom line is that they are just squad numbers, owen has worn number 10 for england for ages too.
  20. my prediction for tonight 0-0 after 90 mins 0-0 after extra time, penalties is anyones. i really think it will be a dull, boring game even with the talent on show. we are due a boring cup final after last years comeback from the scousers and this season, another comeback from the scousers.
  21. i know the germans are the host country but i can't beleve the bookies have them joint 2nd favorites with england and the argentina at 7-1. the germns group looks on paper simple enough with the poles, costa del sol rica and the other south american team ecuador in it, but when you hit the knock out stages the bookies have obviously favoured them on the penalty taking abilities.
  22. latest odds for the world cup 11-4 brazil 7-1 argentina 7-1 england 7-1 germany 8-1 italy 12-1 france 14-1 holland>>> > my tip 14-1 spain>>> >my tip 22-1 portugal 33-1 czech rep>>> >my tip 40-1 sweden 66-1 ukraine 80-1 usa 100-1 australia 1000-1 saudi arabia
  23. looks alright cocker, at least it has all the players. have you set up a league?
  24. i've looked around and there seems to nothing about just yet.
