[Archived] Rovers 0-1 Liverpool

tugay has to come back into the midfield and bentley pushed alongside bellamy. woth pongo unable to play and dickov doing utter ######, something has to be done upfront. kuqi may even get a start. i really hope tugay starts, he likes the big games and if we are going to win he has to play imo. 2-0 tugay 10 pedersen 69 -

friedel and bellamy were immense on saturday, fairplay i'm guted we didn't take home the points after leading twice through bellamy's wonder goals. to come out with a draw and a point isn't the end of the world, ars and noblot both lost, so we gained a point on them and even though spuds won, we all know they have a tricky run in. the worst part of saturday was emerton at the end, really did think he had scored and was going crazy, after seing it on telly it was a clear handball but we have seen them given in the past did anyone see matty derbyshire's goal for wrexham? i clear case of a hand there too and yeah it was given. -

i fancy us for this one, pompy are on a run where we need to knock them off the tracks. we have already beaten them up at ewood this season, coming from a goal down too. last season was quite a rough encounter at fratton park, we took home the 3 points with a fighting display which is what we need on saturday. it's all about who wants it more, they want to survive the drop and we want champions league!!! they may have home advantage, but we have advantages, better players for a start, hughsey... when ever i see an interview just fills me with belief and faith, he will do his homework on pompey and the players will have a plan of battle and the army of fans we will take to be our 12 man!!! (and drown out their ###### donkey bell) rovers 3-0 whoop assing!!! savage 7 pedersen 10 bellamy 69 -

i'm guted with the result, when we got back to 1-1 i really thought we were going to do em, we needed our goal 10 mins earlier and we would of got the winner imo and sent them home packing. only if the bellamy effort had gone in, good save by filan but god the ex blackburn keeper was pissing me off all night, the amount of time wasting he done was unreal!!! he dropped the ball when dickov barely touched him for the pedersen goal and when kuqi scored i was so glad lucas neil clattered him, he didn't look to happy then bar the wigan goal, their forwards were quiet though our defence had a few mix ups and school boy errors lastnight, alot of scrambling in our box and some of our clearences were well bad. tugay was immense when he came on, suprised he didn't start imo. dickov done nout and kuqi, well.... match saver -
i think fat sam has blown a fuse! not good news for bolton as a whole imo

i wouldn't go that far buddy, he's done a good job yeah but the rest of the squad have certainly contributed to rovers sucess this season. -
[Archived] Smoking Ban At Ewood
Presty On Tour replied to Quack's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
young kids and family's maybe, but on a whole the regular smokers are going to have to start getting used to it as the complete ban comes in at the start on the 2007 season. i can understand why not smokers hate people smoking in seats infront of them but i feel there will be a few unhappy fans with the non smoking ban. maybe a smoking section could be arranged? just a thought -

i read reports lastnight that rovers old boy david thompson has recovered from his knee injury and is pushing for a place in the wigan first 11. i don't know if these will play but there a few other ex rovers on wigans books: filan henchoz -
[Archived] Smoking Ban At Ewood
Presty On Tour replied to Quack's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
an early smoking ban could degrade our attendences even more. when i went to blackburn's pre season with a friendly with swansea, there is a complete no smoking ban there already and to be honest all those who wanted to smoke pilled into the toilets anyway including myself -

i like jewell and he has worked wonders at wigan but he is nothing compaired to our man hughes, he's a genius!! if hughes went to manky, i would really doubt he would be replaced by jewell imo. -
[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?
Presty On Tour replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
its all mind games before our match on monday!!! i think it will stress us, the fans out more than hughes and the players as they will just laugh it off. -
i was a well big fan of gresko when he first signed on loan, i thought he was our best player at some matches. since he signed permanently, he really hasn't featured under hughes, i know injuries have hampered him in the past but i thought he may at least get one shot to prove himself again. he still makes the slovakia squad too, i dunno if he is still the captain though. matteo and amo can go, we have no use for them anymore.

brum and portsmouth away, are games we need to win to make 4th imo. the league doesn't lie and they are not at the bottom of the table for being good teams, their defences are crap and they don't score goals. yeah the battle to survive the drop sometimes produce surprise results and they have have fighters, but we have fighters too, fighting for champions league and europe. bring em on!!!

i watched the faw cup final lastnight between wrexham and swansea city on bbc wales. matty derbyshire played ok but swansea were just to good for wrexham and he hardly had a sniff at goal all night, he worked hard but had no reward. swansea won the game 2-1 and lee, lee, lee trundle looked different class on the pitch. -
cheers JordnRovers, your a star mate

please don't get people started fairplay to emerton though, since he was dropped out of the 16 i think it was the kick up the backside he needed. his performances of late have not been brilliant but they are improving. -
if arsenal somehow win the champs league, 4th spot will also become another uefa spot.
-
im sure "we are blackburn rovers we are supreme" was mixed in it somewhere but it must be a different song all together? i must cut down my drinking

awsome bob

a well good read dillo dillo the article has the league finishing like this: FINAL POSITIONS 4 Arsenal 69 points 5 Blackburn 66 6 Spurs 64 7 Bolton 59 they say alot of good points about rovers but they also mention our crowds at home they do have arsenal down for a few 3 points which i think they may struggle with depending on their champions league exploits. i still wants 4th and we can do it!!! keep the faith
