  1. the winners will be barca or ac milan. arsenal done well lastnight though i think things will be different in turin. juventus were well bad lastnight, capello's face at the sending off was a picture
  2. skysports have got hold of the news too. i just hope all the media reporting on the contract talks doesn't influence any clubs to show an interest. http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=37...rms+Neill+talks
  3. im well chuffed with this news, i just hope he will sign the deal before the world cup! lucus neill "the football hooligan" has improved every season since he signed from millwall, more so this season with the new training staff though i think everyone has gone up a level or 2 since the hughes era began. i wouldn't swap him for any other right back in the uk, he's been awsome this season and mr cool with the pens too.
  4. big brother gadgetry!!! when it says hughes laid into his team do you think he has a quiet word in the ear? maybe a bollocking with cups being smashed n all? or maybe him and bowen team up and turn the changing room into a wwe hardcore match
  5. leighton james, mind most people on the mb wouldn't of seen him as a pundit as they can't watch wales on saturday. if you heard the radio coversation with savage its pretty similar to that every week. lawro is up there, can't stand him!! " in a moooooooooooooment" ian wright to winds me up, acts like a little school boy sometimes. i always liked the motson/brooking partnership
  6. the same reason why i have chosen keagan, he knows the job, loves football and can fill the gap before pearce is experienced enough to take charge. im sure keagan would love it!
  7. are you sure that is right mate???
  8. bring back keagan and let the good times roll. pearce one day, but he not ready yet. he needs more experience. fat sam i don't think he has the respect as the top manager of england. curbs i doubt he will ever go anywhere else bar charlton till he retires. hiddink and o'neil would be a great success but they are not english and i doubt they can be arsed with the english media imo.
  9. only if he can prove his fitness or take a pay as you play contract, at the this point of time either is very unlikely.
  10. i thought spuds were rubbish lastnight, in the first half wba deserved their lead and i was dancing with joy!!! 2nd half spuds came out fighting and did play the better footy although i thought robsons men at least deserved a draw. a penalty in the 89th minute was well gutting!!! have to say though we done it against villa the other week, play poor and win. i expect spuds to go to geordie land and lose. shearer can do em for us!!!
  11. same as me buddy!! pay as you go 2 with orange!!! don't like contract, i run up to much debt!!
  12. charlton are usually poor at this stage of the season in recent years. a commentator said they have only averaged 6 points in their last 10 games in their premiership history.
  13. w.b.a are going to put up a good fight tonight! the spuds can feel us breathing down their necks and the heat is on!!! will be good to see how they handle the pressure. w.b.a need points to survive, extend the gap over big club will be robsons plan tonight!!!
  14. jan thats the most honest post ive read in a long time and i agree with everything you have said. hughes is hungry for success, 2 semi finals already at blackburn where souness calls them the mickey mouse cup. every fan loves a cup run. souness in europe was a joke, hughes hopefully will be taken us on tour in the champions league if everything goes to plan. and finally hughes has worked wonders since he has been here, i can see what your saying with the soul destroying at the lack of presence which is our biggest concern, i just hope that will change before it is to late
  15. hopefully he will sign it and it will stop all this transfer bu11sh1t!!! as it is doing me head in!!!
  16. april Sat, 1st H Chelsea (PREM.) 12:45 Tue, 4th H Bolton (PREM.) 19:45 - Sat, 8th A Wigan (PREM.) 17:15 Sun, 16th A Aston Villa (PREM.) 12:00 Wed, 19th H Blackburn (PREM.) 19:45 - Sat, 22nd A Everton (PREM.) 15:00 - Sat, 29th H Newcastle (PREM.) 15:00 - May Sun, 7th A Bolton (PREM.) 15:00 i thought big club were better in the 2nd half as manky just come out for a sunday stroll, but heskey for all his hard work, his finishing was pathetic!! nice game next saturday too can't wait till we play them, to send them down would be amazing
  17. well good preview colin mate after the 3-0 pasting we gave them on new years eve at their place and how much we have on the line fighting for 4th place, it will be tense but with hughsey at the helm and our supreme home form we should run out easy victors!!! 3-0 rovers
  18. looking at those fixtures dillo dillo, we have a half decent run in compared to some of our challengers for 4th spot. the spuds are in deep trouble i hope w.b.a are up for it tonight, spuds won't find it easy as w.b.a will be looking to enlarge the gap between themselves and big club. when m'boro scored the winner against bolton i was dancing around like a fanny, these are happy times like philipl says, 7 days before the wigan derby game and with our supreme home record this season i really fancy us!!!
  19. i thought reidy played well on saturday, the goal was great but with savage out which was a big miss, he took over the responsibility to get the job done. his engine was fantastic, he was everywhere tracking back and closing down and didn't give away the ball to often either. still improving as a player and he's giving everything which is all we can ask for.
  20. i'm well pleased with the result, the performance wasn't a classic but we got the job done and took home the 3 points i thought when reid walked through their defence and pulled the trigger to put us 1 up there was a pasting on the cards and we could really give them lesson but fairplay to them, bottom of the league n all they came back at us 2nd half and if it wasn't for our grit and determination and nelson being outstanding again it could have all gone wrong.
  21. well colin "jaws" lloyd is or was ranked number 1 in the world and is struggling in 6, though more of an upset is wayne "hawai 5 o" mardle is bottom with just 1 draw to his name. under preforming could be the answer but at least barney is giving phil taylor a bit of competion this year. john part isn't in there this year, he gives taylor a good match, a bit of a bogey player for the power in the past. Pos Player P W D L Legs +/- PTS 1 Phil Taylor 6 5 1 0 +23 11 2 Raymond van Barneveld 5 4 1 0 +21 9 3 Roland Scholten 6 3 1 2 4 7 4 Ronnie Baxter 5 2 1 2 2 5 5 Peter Manley 6 2 0 4 -11 4 6 Colin Lloyd 5 1 1 3 -12 3 7 Wayne Mardle 6 0 1 5 -20 1
  22. if the winner has already qualifed for europe through the league (top 6) or another cup competion the runner up is awarded the uefa cup place. if the runner up has also already qualified for europe through different competions like the winner then the uefa cup spot will be given to 7th position in the league.
  23. the blackburn team that day: Friedel, Curtis, Berg, Short, Gillespie, Dunn, Mahon, Flitcroft, Duff, Bent, Jansen. Subs: Filan, Hignett, Taylor, Hughes, Berkovic. hignett scored a peach of a free-kick to i remember, also found this pic from the game
  24. was a well good game, matty jansen was running riot!!!
  25. did anyone watch the darts lastnight? barney had a nine darter against one dart manley who had a pasting and then barney played taylor which finished 7-7 after the power was 7-4 up!!
