Should note that Rhodes didn't take the penalty Sheffield Wednesday got last weekend. So his confidence is probably still low as it was with his cowardice in playoffs when he refused to take one during a shootout. -
Bristol City (A) - Bradley Dack's Christmas Break
Vinjay replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
So will some people "take a point" here as well? What use would that be after the draw in midweek? Blackburn Rovers shouldn't be happy taking a point from the city of Bristol which has no footballing prestige attached. Certainly not after drawing the last game or unless there's a bad refereeing setback. A point would not surprise me admittedly but that does not mean it's something to be pleased with. -
Dack's apologised for the sending off apparently. Just like he apologised for no showing in court. I've said before that my feeling is Dack won't depart on good terms unless there's major changes within the club.

Obviously you mean best player and that's difficult. If you're picking one synonymous with the last decade though (and what it stood for) that would be Lowe for me. Note that the last 2 seasons are only ones that were not failures and it's after he left.

Blackburn has some wrestling history. Of course "World of Sport" had shows at King Georges' Hall but besides that WWE were at Blackburn Arena in 1994. I don't think that had anything to do with Shawn Michaels (his fan status is probably exaggerated) but like to think it did lol. WCW also had shows and the "Moat House Hotel" (which has since been demolished) was the scene of an infamous fight between Psycho Sid and Arn Anderson. Bet that made the local paper. There's also been UK independent shows including one where the ring didn't show up due to some nefarious shenanigans which ruined that promoter before he even got started. I guess people see those "American Wrestling" posters at King Georges' Hall but if any of you have kids who like wrestling and think that's THE Undertaker...well it's not. Blackburn Arena did have it's first wrestling show booked for many years last year but that promotion quickly went out of business and the show was cancelled. I doubt that's gonna make them go out of their way to book more shows.

Swansea City (A) - F*ck it, let's make it five!
Vinjay replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I took a dig at people for saying they were happy with a point. Well there were at least 3 people who said that before I decided to say something about it. Then there's people were posting around the same time and since. OK in the Championship it's hard to win 5 games in a row. It's hard to expect good performances all the time but from a mentality standpoint you don't need to hear this stuff. That's why some managers play "mind games" (saying stuff they don't mean or expect without outright lying) and you hear players coming out with things "like I was glad to score 4 goals but the 3 points was most important." OK the latter is obvious BS (in many cases) but it's said for a reason. Team mentality and the fans need to play a part in that instead of showing weakness. The opposition had 10 men so yes it is a wasted opportunity even if the ref was looking to even things up. The manager should have forseen this and told Dack to be exceptionally careful or taken him off if he didn't trust him. I know people will say the same again but I can't help myself. Maybe supporters at other clubs in 6th-12th would say same thing (or maybe they wouldn't if you're paranoid like me) but this is Blackburn Rovers. Plus I despise the word "settle" and that always sets me off. I've got a thing about certain words and that's one of them. For whatever reason "I'll settle for a point" annoys me more than "I'm happy with a point". No wonder divorce rate is so high it's because people "settle" even when they aren't truly happy. So if you're a psychologist in linguistics maybe that's why lol. -

So home team performs poorly and people are still "settling" for a point? I call it a waste. -
Well at least it might allow for some experimentation...

Man United loving stooges.

Even on here I doubt there's anyone that parochial.

Especially in Scotland.

Well maybe they only play online poker.

Well that's nonsense. There's different types of investment and sometimes they overlap. Personally I don't bet against Rovers and there's certain teams I'll never bet on to win under any circumstances. Sometimes there's teams I won't bet on to win if they have players, managers or owners I don't like but that lasts for as long as they are there. -
Hopefully this won't turn into an animal welfare thread unlike the one I tried to start.

Revolt over EFL's losses rule A group of Championship clubs have formed a working party to examine making changes to the EFL’s profit and sustainability rules. These rules have led to Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday being charged with breaches in the last two years, with Derby County still the subject of an investigation for a related matter involving the sale of Pride Park. EFL rules permit clubs to record losses totalling £37million over a three-year period, which the majority of Championship clubs want to review. Any alteration to the rules requires a 75 per cent majority among Championship clubs, so if the working party can agree, they would need the support of only three more clubs to force through the proposed change. -
It's probably costly enough for the loan already unless City are doing it for free. Jason Wilcox may have been advantageous in where he was sent.

Club merchandise

That shop has closed down which is probably overdue by about 50 years. If any big town wants to enter more regeneration and city challenge bids it's best to get rid of as many archaic outlets as possible. -

LOL. If they think Cocu's bad what will they think if that thick thug takes over. Yeah they hired another high profile (ex) English player in Lampard. There's a difference. Lampard's intelligent. -

Sheffield Wednesday are having problems with FUP as well. Maybe EFL (at UEFA's behest of course) will have to sue every team in league eventually. Here's hoping. -

Was that thug there today? Sure he will be a very underwhelming signing as he was for Everton. -
I've never really agreed with that approach. WWE in 80's and 90's had distinct characters. For instance in late 90's virtually everyone had an attitude. On AEW there's Jon Moxley and then there's people calling themselves librarians. Being different does not always mean be different if you get what I mean. Once again though AEW's stuff whatever it is does not come across as watered down. Besides the women's division and I'm unimpressed enough by WWE's.
