GASP! A team's owners (if you call gifted a stake by a billionaire ownership) showed up at a game it has to be virtually the first thing mentioned in a report. BBC did the same tired of this fawning BS. https://www.skysports.com/football/salford-city-vs-leeds/411029 -
He's an idiot. He will fail just as Dunn would if he was appointed here (thankfully after predictably failing at Oldham that likely won't happen) but at least Dunn isn't a violent racist.

Thought Evans might have been better given there were not too many fans there. ?

European Champions League 2019/20
Vinjay replied to philipl's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Did Celtic (and their arrogant pundits like Nicholas) just expect to show up and crush this team? "Catastrophic" was one word I saw to describe it. Cluj have qualified for group stage before and have scored victories at Old Scumford and Roma. Not cannon fodder. -
Said on Twitter DM approximately 53 minutes ago it would probably be a win.
-
Well at least someone's daughter will remember her first game ?
-
Not sure which odds were worse. Reaching the League cup final or reaching the playoff final. Probably the playoff.
-
So was he right for once?
-
Woodgate's a complete thicko. I'm hardly Mowbray's PR manager but he can still outwit Woodgate.
-
Well at least Middlesbrough's result is even worse (at the moment)
-
That's what Duffy probably would have done had Cardiff not been his last game.

...and some people have said possession in football is nine tenths of the law. Not if you do sod all with it.

Probably a combination of working for Venkys and being around Rovers fans for 2 and half years.
-
Coyle this, Coyle that. Berg and Appleton were hardly any better just had better squads.
-
He's never said anything against Venkys. I doubt his ego could take the Championship unless it's somebody absolutely certain to go up. If Newcastle for instance were relegated this season perhaps he would go there (since they have been promoted with relative ease on two occasions in past decade) but how many certainties have there been? How many are there at present? None.
-
Indeed. Apparently Bolton's keeper had an excellent game yesterday in extremely difficult circumstances. I guess some people on here would sign on that evidence?

Well I was correcting what appeared to be no knowledge of Huddersfield's (majority) ownership change. Not to have a rant at the Walkers though admittedly I don't need much excuse. Not much to say about the Fulham game. It just really further cements my view that the club won't move any further forward than it already has under Mowbray. Which is pretty much what I've thought since he took over so how much more can you say about that? Especially when more and more people have now realised his limitations. Towards the end of last season (until the form picked up a bit in last few games) I thought this season might start extremely badly but then I revised my view to a slightly more uplifting outlook. I haven't entirely shifted from that (losing 2 games isn't a disastrous start but propping up the table or 23rd in October would be) but the first win needs to come sooner rather than later...and I'm not talking about the upcoming midweek game.

Who are here because they were sold by a disinterested family influenced trust who didn't even ask the most basic questions. Like for instance what relegation was and for that matter Williams/Finn didn't either. Despite my heavily pro takeover stance even I said there were no guarantees. Really how many clubs do have a predictable future if they choose to sell? Of course few will have a great future anyway since owners aren't allowed to have ambition without UEFA interference these days.
-
Well Huddersfield have had a takeover 3 months ago actually and they didn't have to look far. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/huddersfield-town-to-be-sold-as-dean-hoyle-announces-departure-as-chairman-1-9749285

Well I've been told there's no truth in the argument either.

So why are they boycotting anyway? Anderson's gone and Bassini is the one getting in the way of the Football Ventures takeover. Obviously attendances aren't likely to rise after relegation but who's left at the club to aim their ire at? Manager Phil Parkinson (who seems to have focusing on team for most part and certainly they have needed focus there) has publicly urged Bassini to desist and leave the club alone. I've seen nothing about Bassini having the nerve to show up at the game even though he said he would (another lie) but perhaps the police banned him. -

Less than a week ago Bassini ruled out taking any injunction. That should have set the alarm bells ringing. You expect any word from a friend of Jerome Anderson to be honest? -

Surprised that so few people anticipated this.
