According to the accounts the club was paid interest of £769000 for the outstanding monies in the training ground deal. Such an interest payment does not suggest only £6million was left to pay. The statement that £6 million was outstanding could be read two ways. One being that it was an initial £6 million payment that was late in being paid. The accounts don't appear to show the other 11 million having already been paid as at 31st march 2023.

With the rental income assigned to crossbaron the implications are that if the club can't pay the rent they take control of the land. No wonder a venture capitalist is all over this. We've gone from owning our training centre to on the verge of loosing it entirely. The march 23 accounts showed venkys had then not paid any money for the training centre to the club

The latest set of accounts as at march 2023 section 26 suggest venkys had not actually completed on the training ground deal as at that date. They also had not paid their sponsorship money. The accounts suggest they had paid interest on the outstanding purchase monies to the club and the club had paid rent. Section 26 states The valuation of 17.3 million was based on planning permission being obtained which at the date of the accounts had not been achieved. Maybe this was a factor in the delay. The accounts indicate a payment of over 6 million was due by the end of June 2023. The change in the project could suggest this did not arrive. The accounts for march 2024 will ultimately clarify this. So far the assets seized amount to £9 million or so which whilst an inconvenience one would not of thought to be terminal. The problem moving forward is how the Indian government view further infusions of funds.

Was this before or after the goal posts moved? . Highly likely we can no longer afford the deal.

Rovers support was very patient with Ben. Chris Brown became a parody. Back in the day Ken Beamish's misses generated a chant to taunt opposition strikers with.

What they will say is that from a stewarding point of view if they are opening the stand they need a certain number which includes allowing for walk ons on the night in addition to advanced sales. Catering wise not all outlets need to open but as they have hived this off the club doesn't make any saving there. I fully expect the Riverside to be permanently closed within the next three years being the least occupied area on a match day. The same reasoning will be given. This Cardiff experiment is the thin end of the wedge. What they fail to grasp is that they are devaluing the match day experience for the supporters. The closing of the Darwen end for home support. The moving of the family stand. None of these closures has affected the bottom line. We are still losing 20 million a year despite these alleged savings. If you have pissed off a sufficient number who now no longer come because they can't sit where they want then you have defeated the object. For whatever saving may ultimately be made it's a drop in the ocean in the way the club is being run.
