National league and North and South
Rogerb replied to Rogerb's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Southend United given to early October to complete a take over otherwise will be wound up. Also facing a ten point deduction by the national League for not clearing all debts by date specified in order to play in league. Have 15 players and been under embargo for 12 months. We were playing against them not that long ago. -
Came on as a 77 minute substitute.

Very good offensively. Instant control two quick feet can see a pass. Not so good defensively as yet which was why Batty was exposed. -
Formica was one culprit.

With the transfer of Sanchez from Brighton to Chelsea having been displaced by Jason Steele as number 1 for Brighton how much is Steele worth now. Funny old game.

Just as well he is doing such a good job we'd be in a right mess otherwise.

For me this deal had The V,s mitts all over it. The insistence on pursueing the appeal as far as possible even when the opinion of the DOF was it was highly unlikely to succeed. The sudden availability to pay a wage way above the ceiling. The fact JDT wanted a striker and not another mid fielder. it was another of their special operation punts. Let's not forget they have previous for pursueing pointless legal cases and not listening to advice

Nixon has not had a Scooby about Rovers for some time then suddenly back doing pieces on O'Brien and Diaz. It's all froth and a PR exercise.

Looking on BBC football transfers the Markanday deal is listed at one minute to midnight on the time line very much one of the last deals to go through. That one very nearly didn't happen as well! -

Felix Goddard has returned from the loan to Bamber Bridge
-
Had a trip to watch Bamber Bridge yesterday against Guiseley in particular to see how Felix Goddard was getting on. Felix had an excellent game making a number of crucial saves and commanding his box coming for high balls and catching them despite a battering from the Guiseley forwards. Unusual to see a keeper so dominant of his area at this level
