  1. Both Saxton and Mackay had seasons where they over achieved. Cannot say that about Mowbray to date. The next six months may determine that.
  2. There are a number of nobbers holding off buying because they prefer to be in the top tier. They could well be disappointed this season.
  3. Full stop. Accident waiting to happen. Expecting another red before Christmas.
  4. The power of some of Ben's finishes this season has been Sheareresque.
  5. Trouble is when he has used five at the back it has been to try to see the game out.
  6. Very true. Have you ever known mowbray play great attacking football?
  7. A back 5 for the visit of the mighty Peterborough. No thanks. Could be lowest gate of the season tonight.
  8. For those who have an interest in non league football Bamber Bridge play Chorley in the LFA challenge cup this Tuesday night. Chorley include ex rovers Adam Henley and Willem Tomlinson. Bamber bridge include two lads on loan from Blackpool Lewis Bange and Harry Apter who are far too good for this level particularly Apter. Rodwell Grant is also at bamber bridge on loan from Preston and well known to sparksrover I think.
  9. Is mowbray brave enough to play that starting eleven away from home ? Probably not he will be worrying about the opposition rather than giving the opposition something to worry about on the counter
  10. Plenty of barmy army chants yesterday but TM blue and white army didn't seem to have a rendition. At the end in injury time there was a brief up the football league we go but by the time it got to mowbray is our king it had been drowned out by something else.
  11. What he said was that as a league 1 club he questioned the affordability of having a cat 1 acadamy and would rather have that money for the first team.
  12. Think what you like but I heard this in an interview given by mowbray
  13. The quote is 100% accurate. I remember it well.
  14. There was no thought back in 2015 to avoid an embargo with this sell off so what has changed since then? The potential housing development?
  15. If the V's are raising a 13 million mortgage as suggested with Rovers paying the interest in the form as a rent at £750,000 as suggested by Phil then they have got the vast majority of the money back immediately.
  16. The 16 million has already been spent there is nowt left. Hence this deal done 4 months ago lenihan Nyambe and rothwell no further forward in re signing if there were funds available for increased offers surely we would have seen progress in these negotiations. In my opinion it would have been better to take the hit of the transfer embargo. It would have focussed mowbray,s mind.
  17. At the end of the day the club no longer owns an asset which it previously did and is now incurring an annual expenditure to use it using money which may previously have been used too offer players improved contracts who now we'll leave for naff all. How is this a good deal for the club?
  18. Its a different company with a different board of directors. The club will be paying to use the asset.
  19. Presumably the club is now paying rent for the use of the SCT which it no longer owns. Money which it previously didn't have to find. It won't be peanuts either.
  20. Not beyond the realms of possibility Venkys offer mowbray a rolling twelve month contract at the end of his current deal. If it was possible to loan a manager Venkys would.
  21. None other than to be regularly disappointed at full time.
  22. The Cessna is struggling for range on reflection. I'm going with Lord Baltimore.
  23. Best part of 60 years a plane spotting geek
  24. Picture posted by Lord Baltimore suggests may have been a Cessna citation.
