Makes you wonder what the point of the academy is if this true. Nothing we can do to stop him moving on and we'll get nothing for him hardly -

Any money we do have HAS to go on a couple of strikers even if Szmodics doesn't go. Any other positions can be filled with good quality frees or loans -

Here we go ..... Issues already What a nightmare…..trying to renew season ticket and have spent and hour on hold to be told that my son needs a separate account despite always being on mine. He was on my account first thing but then it disappeared. They asked me to register him under my email but it won’t let me!! Was apparently sorted eventually 😳 -

Have to agree, has anybody given any consideration to the dozens of people who would lose their jobs if that was the case through no fault of their own. Sell up if need be but administration isn't the answer -

If nothing else I think the evidence is there that our squad could be improved with little or no money (at least in terms of transfer fees) Some good players available if our recruitment team do their job -

Agree that a keeper should be on the list, though don't know if the club thinks that. If we were, maybe do worse than this guy ... -
Never really understood all this celebrating on the pitch when the job isn't done. Just setting yourself up for a fall

Coincidentally, I was talking to someone who works in hospitality at Rovers on match days. She had nothing but kind words to say about JDT and Eustace , who both took time to chat with them and get to know a little about them GB on the other hand was aloof, completely ignored them and was not liked at all. I think professional courtesy should work both ways, doesn't take much just to acknowledge someone and say hello

Wasn't Tugay supposedly lined up for that role?

Wagner getting the boot today according to many media sources. It's a brutal league, but won't shed any tears over him losing his job, and Barnes and Duffy getting what they deserve

Have to say I don't always agree with some of your comments on here JH, but think you're spot on with this post -

Let's hope they are fairly well down the line with a new DOF, can't see much if anything happening till he's in place -
£60m. - I hope there's a huge sell on

Bayern target Wharton … again 42 minutes ago Exclusive By Alan Nixon Bayern Munich are ready to move for Crystal Palace’s shining star Adam Wharton - and try to get him at the second attempt. The German giants are desperate for the midfield maestro after missing out on him when the Eagles swooped on Blackburn Rovers for him in January. Bayern were working on a deal to sign Wharton but take 18 months to develop him, but Palace saw them off along with Chelsea who had a similar plan. However Munich are keen to move for Wharton now although he would cost them around £60 million already, an expensive mistake on their part. Top experts think Wharton will play in the Champions League sooner rather than later and Palace could come under pressure to keep him in the summer. The Eagles have a host of talent in their squad and the likes of Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze have been linked with moves, but Wharton may attract a bid quicker. Palace are under siege off the field too with director of football Dougie Freedman wanted by Newcastle United. Freedman masterminded deals for all of the Palace captures and is happy at the club. However if they sell too many in the next window it could lead to a change of heart. Meanwhile Bayern are also looking at Everton midfielder Amadou Onana but would have to find £50 million to land him.

If that's referring to Wharton, it's common knowledge we turned down initial bids for him. At the time £18 m rising to £22 m seemed a decent price for a huge talent but who had played less than 50 games in the championship. We all knew that another year or two and he would have been worth probably treble that but we never got that opportunity.. Hopefully when he moves on again , which he will, there's a huge sell on involved -

Anybody think there's a chance Szmodics may still be here next season. ? If Rovers play hardball over the fee and demand up to £20 million for him, it may put potential buyers off paying that much for a 29 year old with no premier league experience. Rovers in the driving seat at least. -

Not sure Nobbers fans would agree tbh. Preston have failed to score in 7 out of the last 8 games . That takes some doing
