  1. Think Rovers will hold off on a left back till Summer, when Greg Cunning ham's contact is up (I think). Makes sense to me, should be fit by then and not a gamble as we know what he can do.
  2. I agree, don't really understand all the negativity about Walton. Been pretty solid overall, especially the last few weeks. A couple of errors but no absolute howlers as we see week in, week out from other keepers
  3. Don't think it's coincidence that goalkeeping standards have dropped across all the leagues ever since managers became obsessed with them being better with their feet than their hands!
  4. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17551426.highly-rated-joe-rankin-costello-signs-new-rovers-contract/&ved=2ahUKEwjeprrW643nAhUUQ8AKHeldBcUQFjACegQIDBAJ&usg=AOvVaw0h0Fe9j2clQkn8lTzpOe-O
  5. Never scored a tap-in in his life did Tony. There are great goal scorers and scorers of great goals. Tony Field was the latter. Cheers Tony
  6. I know, just wish I could find some for us online but no luck. Absolute magician in my eyes
  7. The day just gets better... http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1016411695?-11198:839
  8. To paraphrase Forrest Gump : " Supporting Rovers is like a box of chocolates......"
  9. Yeah, and took Tony Field with him to Sheffield United. My first hero, never forgiven him for that! Watch goal no 7 and tell me that's not George Best
  10. What an amazing scouting system Brentford have. If only....
  11. Think people are being a bit harsh on a guy who has been a great servant to this club That said, my view is that if Mulgrew was to play for us again it would be defensive midfield alongside Travis rather than Central defence. With Evans out for the forseeable it only leaves Johnson as partner to Travis as Davenport is unlikely to be risked. Whatever it seems now that defensive replacements will have to wait till Summer and this window concentrate on attackers
  12. Didn't play v Bolton due to injury on Saturday Presume same tonight.
  13. No link to us as far as I know, but notice Chelsea have recalled Connor Gallagher from Charlton, presumably to loan out again. Would love him, top player
  14. Some of the guys on Soccer Saturday where asked to name ones to watch in League 1 the other day Matt Murray said Ben Whiteman...
  15. Take my hat off to you sir!
  16. http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1014647977?-11198:839 Fair play to the guy who did the research a few days ago!
  17. Anybody know any Blackpool fans who can give an opinion on Heneghan? It's a difficult one for TM. Obviously no money in the kitty and we only really have 2 saleable assets and one of those is out of action. If any money raised from this potential deal is allocated for transfers I wouldn't totally be against it.
  18. As I suggested yesterday http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1014599353?-11198:839
  19. Being linked again in the last couple of days
  20. Wonder if the Lenihan to Sheffield United and our link to Ben Heneghan more than coincidence? A player swap plus a large wad of cash (9 - 10 million) to improve the squad might be tempting for TM.
  21. At least its a brave decision by Mowbray, only time will tell if its a correct one. His sometimes blind loyalty to his players was rightly criticised by the fans, just maybe he has finally twigged that things had to change.
  22. New manager, new ideas. It happens in football
