  1. I’d like to see Weimann & Batth now. See if their experience helps.
  2. 1-0, HT. I’m satisfied with the effort, & run of play. It could be 2-0, had Gueye connected early, if’s & but’s
  3. So, I botched my analysis of Dolan, as a 10+ assists this year, I take it! 😂
  4. Stat of the day: Under Eustace, we scored 15 goals in the final 16 games (Sammie scored 10 of those). That includes 5 goals vs black cats. This must change, if we are to stay up.
  5. The “shotgun” approach I mentioned earlier. Maybe we should have gone this route instead of spending £5 on Gally. Less than 3 hours until game time…
  6. That’s what I said last night; he’s under contract, but we don’t play him. He’s not in game condition, for us or anybody else.
  7. Yes, that was a very accurate summation of our state of affairs. Sadly.
  8. I will take a stab at this… Dolan has 16 goals in 148 games with Rovers. But, his role is not primarily that of a striker. I would be happy with Dolan, if he could hit double-digits in assists, and only score, 5-6 times a season. At age 22, he could still have a future as a decent winger at this level. But, we need to see it soon. my guess, we will see him with Shrews or a similar league 1 team soon.
  9. I’ve been wishing & hoping for Dolan’s breakout season. Maybe it’s this season. With three new forwards, of debatable Championship level quality, it appears Rovers admin. are taking the “shotgun” approach… take a broad shot at the target, hope something hits it.
  10. I don’t know why I had trouble this season… I never had trouble figuring it out before 😅 Giddy with excitement, I suppose
  11. Pardon my misinformation, posted earlier; Rovers vs Derby, 2:00 pm (cst) on CBSSN. I’m looking forward to seeing how much more footy we get here in the U.S. on CBSSN- for free, as opposed to paying $10/mo for ESPN+.
  12. 8:50 pm here in Texas, already anticipating our first contest of the new season… If Sammie is still a Rover, he needs to start tomorrow. But, he didn’t play in friendlies, will he be game-ready, fit enough to help the club? I still say 2-1. up the Rovers!!
  13. Sorry, my times were wrong earlier. game time on CBSSN is 2:00 PM (cst).
  14. I agree 100% with all you say here, except…Travis as Captain. For me, the Captain must be thoroughly committed to Rovers, he’s proud to wear the shirt, loves the club, etc. I’m not sure Travis is that guy.
  15. I don’t have to stick up for Chaddy, but anything said on here is opinion. my opinion is Tronstad, but it’s fine if others disagree with me. Btw, it seems we DO have leadership on the club, as I’ve seen mentioned as Captain- Travis, Tronstad, Hyam, JR-C, Siggy, Sammie, even Weimann, etc- practically everyone on the club (Except Pears, lol)
  16. Our leading returnees in assists are Brittain with 7, Hedges with 5. These guys are key for us. JR-C is solid, & a hard worker. I believe Hyam & Siggy rebound, after mostly downers last season. Travis will want to prove his worth- if nothing else, to leave Rovers on a permanent move. Tronstad as Captain? I’m still thinking 2-1, but I’ve changed my goal-scorers, Gueye & Siggy.
  17. Rovers’ fall behind quickly to Derby, 0-1; equalize just before half, then, win it late. New signings get both goals. JR-C, MotM. COYB!!
  18. So, out of our four incoming forwards, Mak made a good case today for 1st team minutes? Or, he starts at U21’s?
  19. Agree, Gally was better off the bench. Best wishes to him.
  20. I feel much better about our prospects; with incoming players, the depth is so much better.
  21. Amen!!! The team is improved; how much, we don’t know yet. But, at the very least, let’s give ‘em a chance! Welcome aboard, Batth!
  22. I cannot even describe it as a roller-coaster ride; it’s mostly been like watching an out of control beer truck, going downhill 😅 But, here I am, Rovers are my club. I’m thoroughly invested in it (yes, I know, a terminal illness, but I’ve been a Dallas Cowboys fan since birth. Cowboys born in 1960; me, shortly thereafter). I was born within eyeshot of the Cotton Bowl, Fair Park, Dallas, Cowboys’ 1st home.
  23. I knew we would all feel better, once some signings were made. We haven’t won a game yet, and nothing is a sure thing, but the club is bringing some young, talented players. I can’t wait to get the season started!
