Attendances: A cause for concern
Displaced Rover replied to SIMON GARNERS 194's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
This is another pointless move that I'm semi convinced is to make it seem like they're doing something about attendances whilst secretly hoping it has no impact. Why would anyone who hasn't bought a ST/HST buy this at £20 a game? The issue at that point is clearly ability/desire to get to every home game. Miss one you're at £25 a game, miss two and you're at £33. Everyone repeat again - Bundles. Make. No. Sense. If they want to help the team, they'd be better off looking at a tenner a ticket for the last couple of games if we're still in the mix. -
Brad’s is impressive but I always felt like he saved more than that? I remember usually being confident he had a save in him.

Awful footballer, stealing a wage. To top it off he also seems like a massive bell end from some of the stories that have appeared around his interaction with fans.

Not many goals in that team... -
The other way of looking at it is he achieved his dream, gave us all fantastic memories but didn't want to continue to pump endless sums of money in. I'm fine with that. Beyond the title he left an incredible legacy in the form of the stadium and training ground/academy infrastructure. It's a shame the ground is looking shabby and they're trying their best to get rid of the training ground. We're still reaping the benefits of the academy, the delta between our league position and budget is driven by the academy graduates and the pipeline continues to look strong.

I feel like Diaz being out might force Tony's hand re Dack reintroduction. That said maybe not the best conditions to throw him into. Perhaps better to hope it's postponed given the lack of forward options. -
Where will we finish?
Displaced Rover replied to Nuttall is lost's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I think we might just sneak in the play offs but it will be close. Looking at the remaining fixtures, I see an absolute maximum of 7 wins (if we start scoring again). Sprinkle in a few draws and I think best case we end on 78/79 points, which would be enough. As I say though, I think that's best case and more realistically we're potentially fairly early in a classic Mowbray death spiral. -

People equating Lewis Travis to Jason Lowe ought to be banned from watching football. Travis offers far more in terms of work rate, ability, defensive cover than Lowe ever did. Yes he might not be great in terms of passing/play making but you can't have 3 of that sort of player in the middle. Travis in an important player for us. -

On paper a decent point but let’s face it, they’re crap and we don’t look like scoring even if we played all night. -

Well if Diaz is injured longer term that’s this season fully done. Not signing a striker continues to look more and more insane. -

Rankin Costello looks like a pub player we’ve picked up because we’re short of numbers. Constantly the source of play breaking or slowing down. -

People talk about Gallagher being played out of position but that shite just proves he doesn’t have a strikers instinct. Should be anticipating the defender missing that. -

Gallagher is so shite. I shouldn’t be surprised but his constant ineptitude still manages to wind me up. -

Think that’s harsh tbh. If that had happened to one of our players we’d have been annoyed. -

Absolutely pathetic from Buckley. Usually good for a yellow card from a silly lunge as well so will have to be very careful.
