  1. We’re just consistently atrocious on live TV. That issue coupled with the inevitable February/March death spiral means I have very little hope for the remainder of the season.
  2. I wouldn't class Mowbray as a club great. However, the bold is really unfair. We know the real shit stain who sent us to League One. We got relegated with a frankly ridiculous 51 points on goal difference after Mowbray had won us nearly 1.5 points a game.
  3. I didn't realise Bournemouth were still in the FA Cup. Very favourable draw as well this weekend. Hopefully they crack on and get some serious fixture congestion in second half of the season. That said, they have the squad numbers to potentially sustain playing 3 times a week.
  4. It's hard to look at the (relative) lack of activity from Rovers, whilst seeing rivals for automatic promotion substantially strengthen. I understand there is significant financial disparity (whilst they have parachute payments). I'm not suggesting we mortgage the house but at the end of the day, we're likely to be in line for a substantial BBD windfall in the summer if we don't go up. Surely we could have shown a little more ambition, given this is the first season in 10 years where we have a sniff of going back up. Feels like we're happy just being up there and that we're quite content just to see what happens, which I suspect might be 6th at best if we get a few injuries in the run in.
  5. If Bournemouth don't go up whilst they have parachute payment cash, they'll be back in their natural position (i.e. League 1/2) before long due to FFP. I for one can't wait. Absolute joke that a team like that can be more of a draw than Rovers.
  6. I can’t believe anyone at our club would be dense enough to sell him to Bournemouth. £3m in to potentially fuck up £100m+ promotion bounty.
  7. Looks like Bielik has knackered his shoulder scoring a cracking equaliser for Derby.
  8. He could still get that in the summer, plus the £2m transfer fee going straight in his own pocket as a signing bonus. I don’t begrudge players wanting to make as much money as they can in what is a very short career. However, this decision seems to defy logic. Personally if it’s a club outside the Championship we should cash in. If he wants to go to Bournemouth he can train with the u23s and eat the fines if he doesn’t turn up.
  9. Venky’s finally coming through on the Ronaldinho signing….?
  10. Offers absolutely nothing other than he's a cheap body to have in the first team squad. He's either unfit or just not willing to work hard. He needs to be shipped out on loan. He's nowhere near good enough at the moment to be our first attacking option off the bench.
  11. Butterworth isn’t fit enough to be play in the Championship. It’s not acceptable for a professional footballer
  12. This ref can fuck off. An utter utter shit show but I guarantee he’ll be back reffing next week.
  13. Gallagher is wank. There’s nothing else to say. It’s like watching a reality show and he’s doing a very poor impression of a professional footballer.
  14. Cleared off the line by someone who shouldn’t be on the pitch, superb…
  15. The refereeing in this league is a total shambles. The gulf in class between Premier League and Championship refs is a chasm.
  16. Atrocious defending. Zero tracking from midfield. In trouble now, our style doesn’t lend itself to playing from behind.
  17. I feeI very confident about tonight. Think it’s the fact that Richie Smallwood is deemed good enough to start in their midfield, therefore they must be shit
  18. So many comments about Ryan Nyambe in here it boggles the mind. Would I prefer to keep him - yes. Will I be particularly upset if he leaves - no, he’s incredibly replaceable. There’s people in this thread so clouded by him being an academy grad. He’s a fairly average full back, who doesn’t really offer much going forward. Wouldn’t imagine he’d crack our top 50 right backs of all time.
  19. That's hardly high fucking praise is it? May as well read "Ryan Nyambe, not as shit as the other dross we've had over the last 10 years...." I'd take £3m immediately for a player who doesn't want to be here.
  20. Thoughts: Was a super day (weather aside!). I really enjoyed the drive home listening to disgruntled Spurs fans on the phone ins. Definite penalty for NEJ tackle on Sheringham late on. Sad that Tugay and Flitcroft both suspended, but still we got to see the mighty Yordi (sp?) make his debut... As others have said, I'd always want a cup run from Rovers. However, poorly mismanaged we have been (and may well continue to be), no one can take our memories.
  21. It’s genuinely surreal at the moment. Although I’ve had the hope beaten out of me to the extent I can’t help but assume the death spiral is on the way, except this one will hurt much more ha ha
  22. Rovers by a country mile. I like watching England and seeing us do well of course. It’s just not in the same sphere as watching the Rovers.
  23. I genuinely don't understand why this riles people up so much. Who cares what pundits (the vast majority of whom spout shite regardless of terminology used) call things? It makes no odds to watching a game of football and appreciating good play.
  24. It’s a crap league isn’t it? Tiny bit of quality, confidence and some consistency in team selection can take you far as we’re seeing at the moment.
