  1. This is why an LBO doesn’t work for a low end Premier League club. Being able to service the debt is contingent on that TV income stream. Be carnage if they go down.
  2. Indeed. I've seen many of his posts. My point was fairly tongue in cheek but still stands, I might be "salty" but I barely post on here, let alone be bothered/care enough about them to go and see what our six fingered friends have to say...
  3. Everyone has their issues don't they? I'm "salty" and your mob are still so obsessed with Rovers (despite being in the league above) that you're coming on this board to see what we're saying about your super modern stadium and infrastructure... Hope you get better soon though, wouldn't wish Covid-19 on any dingle!
  4. Have Southampton not learned their lesson about signing prolific Championship strikers from Rovers? 😂
  5. What a pointless comment. Only purpose to try and get a rise… Yes, we’ve had a few good results recently but it doesn’t paper over the fact we had our worst ever home defeat 4 weeks ago (in the second division no less) and we’ve been woefully mismanaged for over 10 years.
  6. Rothwell shouldn’t be starting so call me crazy. Two reasons: 1) Players who started last game deserve to keep the shirt. 2) Whilst he’s not signed a contract extension, we should be planning for future without him.
  7. This is why people should stop venerating all the so called "ITK" posters on here. I reckon less than 10% of the bollocks that gets spouted ends up being true and yet people hang on their every word, which is incidentally exactly why they do it.
  8. Overtaking some genuine greats of the game (Greaves/Lineker) by scoring against a pub side. There should be pre qualifying below a certain world ranking threshold.
  9. World Cup doesn't finish until 18th December. Guess Brereton will miss another two weeks as he fires Chile to glory...
  10. Missed a zero off? Tickets are £400 arent they? £3.2m is hardly a drop in the ocean, it's around 20% of annual revenue (based on 2019 stat accounts - pre Covid). At the end of the day, without going to ludicrous levels, I'm just not sure the demand is there at the moment. To make £3.2m at say £300 (£13 a game!), they'd have to sell another 2,667. Admittedly, there would be additional match day revenues from bigger crowds, but I just don't see the demand being there whilst we languish in mid table with the Venkys and Mowbray in charge.
  11. I don’t frequently go in the Premier Suite at Rovers. I’ve been in at the invitation of clients on a couple of occasions but I don’t really enjoy watching my club in that way. I’ve spent plenty of time watching Spurs in corporate hospitality during my time in London, and I can honestly say Daniel Levy never did the rounds to tell us whether he was planning on binning the manager….
  12. Well we’ll see with the passing of time won’t we 👍 Not seen many recently that have “come in”.
  13. Why do people buy all this shit about people talking to Waggott? The CEO isn’t going around telling people that he’s about to fire the manager if we don’t win. There’s also less than zero chance that Rothwell stays. He’s clearly going to Rangers. Dunno why people lap up these “ITKs” I can’t remember any recently on here that turned out to be correct.
  14. Just got back. As I said in my comment at half time, there’s a lot of shit in this league (aside from top 3). We were great going forward today. Diaz, Poveda, Khadra all superb. Special mention to Buckley who I thought was fantastic. Defensively thought we were very poor though. Wharton (understandably) off the pace and felt that Edun was very exposed, although he did well going forward. As ever in the Championship, the refereeing was atrocious. Really think the EFL should focus on that. Good atmosphere, probably aided by the early goal. Still don’t think we’re going anywhere with Mowbray in charge and I fear he might get another contract.
  15. This game just reaffirms my believe that why semi competent manager would get us in the play offs. These are shite, as are all teams outside the top 3. Dont think much of United’s support, Coventry were much louder. Mowbray really does get a free pass though, not sure what he’d have to do to truly get fans on his back.
  16. Do the club actively not want to make any cash?!? Rammed in JW upper and only 1 bar in this section, with 3 people serving. It’s so amateur, as though no thought goes into it.
  17. I've just made the terrible mistake of venturing into the LT comments section on the Mowbray article. Some of the crap on there is unbelievable. I'm not sure whether it's club plants, Dingles on the wind up or if the shared brain cell is on the blink. What will it take for those clowns to see the reality of the situation? I fear we could be in the for a very fractured winter in the stands, the seeds of division seem to be firmly planted, exacerbated further my Mowbray's nonsense today.
  18. Another thing that’s jumped out of this interview. What is this weird ongoing obsession he has with categorising footballers (all adults) between “men” and “boys”? It’s like he’s living in some sort of weird Oliver Twist style fantasy world…
  19. Just read the article in the LT. What a giant fuck you. It's like he's just trying to deliberately antagonise the fan base at this point. The classic Mowbray reaction - "question me and I'll get the hump and sit with my arms crossed". I was on the fence about tomorrow given I've been a bit unwell this week but I want to be there and I want to make my displeasure apparent to this prick. Get him out of our club now.
  20. Butterworth seems to have removed his like. At least he recognised the optics on being called out, instead of doubling down like a spoilt bell end like Dack.
  21. Dack can fuck off. Sat on his arse earning nearly £20k a week. Club stuck by him with a new contract on back of his injury and he can’t even be arsed to toe the line on social media. Far too much time on his hands. His comment in response marks him out as a total pillock.
  22. Interesting to look forward to where the club might be when we hit the actual significant milestone in 4 years time (by my reckoning we'll be the 9th professional English club to reach it)? Will we still be owned by the loons? Will Tony still be here talking about the journey as we get pumped at home by Peterborough in the battle for 21st? Will we be averaging less than 10k a game? There's a lot to look forward to...
  23. Is this a wind up? This is the tip of the iceberg. Look at some of the shocking runs we’ve been on during his time in charge. I mean aside from the previous two games we’re firmly in the midst of one. The man hasn’t a clue, he wouldn’t get us out this league (in the right direction) even if he had unlimited funds.
