Summer transfer window 2021.
Displaced Rover replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
This is actually a very scary signing. Regardless of what you think about Chapman and whether he's been given a fair crack by old Tonybola, he was out the door and gone. This just screams, "we know we can't get anyone else of value in, let's pad the squad out". -
Absolute scenes. He's gonna come back a changed man and score 40 in the Championship next season.

Different games mate. In the video Noble is talking about an FA Cup game, early in his career (think Noble made his debut 04/05). The 7-1 was in our first season back, Autumn 2001.

Yeah let's get one of your 15 year old lads in instead, they'll do a job...

Your hatred for Buckley is really strange. Regardless of what you think he's a decent lower Championship/League 1 player at present, with plenty of time to improve. You do not have a 15 year old who is currently playing at said level. It's just nonsense. I'm not sure why I'm even debating this....

Euro 96 was 25 years ago so it's 2 semi finals for England...And what's the point of arbitrary cut offs? Go back 31 years and we've been in 3 to Wales 1. This England team is our best hope for years. Far more balanced and less divas than the "golden generation". I fancy us to have a good run this summer.

No you don't.

Season finale: Rovers vs Birmingham City

Had a bottle whizzed at my head in the away end whilst celebrating Savage's goal. Think we lost that game in the end. -
Rovers v Rotherham

I'd like us to put out a strong team in this game. So I wouldn't suggest starting a bunch of kids. I'm not really that fussed about the result, but i'd like our club to have some integrity and not do what Huddersfield did to us (when they made a billion changes to play Birmingham). This game is pivotal for Wednesday and Derby. That said, probably doesn't make a lot of sense to start any of the loan signings. -

I wouldn't read anything into it. He's hardly likely to say "the club needs to sort out these bad runs but fuck if I care I'm off" is he? -
Total random aside for this thread but... I loved Samba, but can't forgive him for ditching us mid relegation battle. We all know that the bald idiot shouldn't have been in charge. However, Samba could have played his heart out for the fans until the summer and then left. P.S. He'd still be more use than Ayala

These clubs should still be subject to sanctions. Hefty points deductions. Ideally you'd punish the owners not the fans but not sure how you'd do that. I do believe these Americans will come again. They don't give a shit about history and sporting integrity and they'll just see this as a temporary setback.

Tony Mowbray Discussion
Displaced Rover replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Just for fun I decided to have a look at the last 15 games (league only) of Mowbray and the two previous sacked managers (I've ignored Lambert). Makes grim reading for old Tony. Mowbray - P15 / W2 / D4 / L9 - 0.67 PPG Coyle - P15 / W4 / D4 / L7 - 1.07 PPG Bowyer - P15 / W3 / D8 / L4 - 1.13 PPG Interestingly both Bowyer and Coyle were sacked going into an international break so looks like we missed the boat the other week. I cannot understand how anyone with such a record is still clinging on. Man of integrity... -

I might need to stop checking this thread for my own sanity. It genuinely feels like the club are deliberately trying to wind the fans up now. I was speaking to a Chelsea supporting mate earlier, who was aghast that we'd let a manager get to the stage of 1 win in 15 - they'd be on their third manager if they had a run like that! The whole thing just underlines how far this club has fallen. He should have been marched out months ago, perhaps with a little goodwill and a few fond memories for the fans. As it is now, it's starting to feel very parasitic - he's slowly creeping towards the bald dickhead in my eyes (not sure he'll ever surpass him mind...). -

There's some real idiots on there. So idiotic that I'm convinced they're either club plants or Burnley fans. -
17. Mucked up first first FA cup and league titles (I was convince we'd only won the old First Division once).

To be fair Lingard is playing really well for West Ham. I for one am happy we have a manager picking on form rather than who they play for.
-
Under Hughes I always felt there was accountability. The players would call each other out (in the right way) as would the manager. There was no acceptance of bad performances. I remember we often seemed to be crap in the first half at home but then (after I presume a rocket up the arse) we'd lay seige to the Blackburn End goal in the second. In this team there's no leaders and no one to set the standards. Conceding a goal means almost certain defeat. If we play badly in the first half, we're likely to play badly in the second. There's just no fight and it's so so disappointing to watch.

The comments on the Rovers instagram on the full time score are disgusting. The amount of happy clappers. There's one suggesting an extension... I genuinely don't think that's even a troll.
