  1. There's goals for Rovers here today for sure. Bournemouth trying to play far too much from the back. Unfortunately I suspect there might also be plenty of goals in the other net...
  2. Well the option is pay 80-90% of his wages or pay 100% of his wages....
  3. It's very interesting that all the players seem to love the new away kit (based on instagram). I reckon it'd be very interesting to setup a poll and view results of like/dislike by age ha ha I'll start, 30s and I think it's great
  4. I quite like it...
  5. I don't understand this argument. How is getting paid substantially more to do your job "all that's wrong with modern football"? People need to realise, it's a job. A job I might add with a very short shelf life. Earn what you can and get out. Why would anyone begrudge someone earning double possibly triple what we could pay them? Whether he plays much or not is totally irrelevant.
  6. "Tugay and Dunn were flanked by Damien Duff and Gary Flitcroft, two wingers who added electric pace and cutting edge creativity to the ranks" The electric pace of renowned winger Gary Flitcroft?!?! Ha ha My favourite Tugay memory is probably him having Gerrard on a piece of string for 80 minutes, including that step over and slide rule pass to set up the winner. I find reminiscing about Tugay (and others from our illustrious history) a very sad reminder of what has happened to our club...
  7. As much as I'd prefer him to Walton, he does always have a howler in him...
  8. He definitely did it when he came back for a testimonial game (want to say it was for Parkes?)
  9. Anyone not contracted to Rovers for next season shouldn't even be in the squad for these final 2 games. That includes people like Tosin, we desperately need to see what we have coming through given the presumed lack of funds this summer.
  10. Can he do the second half in goal? Then he'll have officially played in every position for Rovers. The added bonus is he'll also probably be better than Walton...
  11. I won't be watching, but I will keep an eye on the line up, if Christian Walton starts this match.......
  12. This just reaffirms my belief he doesn't actually want us to get promoted....He just keeps us on the cusp so he can claim he's doing a decent job...
  13. Just a rage inducing result... If we'd even won one of the games we should have against Wigan or Barnsley we'd still be right in the mix. They (and specifically Mowbray) make me so fucking angry
  14. Well at least they won't be finishing above us...
  15. I really can't understand this Lenihan chat. I wonder if it's a generational thing? No work commitment would ever stop me being at the birth of my child. To slag Lenihan off over this is utter nonsense.
  16. 3-1 Barnsley. They have something to play for, we've got an incredibly stubborn manager.
  17. Christ what a joke. If he's picking a team to actively try not to win I'd rather it contain a few youngsters. Not only is playing Mulgrew and Bennett in our defence an atrocious idea, it teaches us nothing for our (inevitable) next season in the Championship.
  18. We battered Wolves 5-1 (even big Lorenzo bagged on debut) in the sun on the opening day of the 2003 season. Thompson scored a good volley from edge of the area but not 35/40 yards out. Maybe mixing that day with another?!
  19. I mean what a goal. I'd genuinely bite your hand off for a point now...
  20. Are you possibly confusing it with McCarthy's goal in the replay against Arsenal? That had commentary from Andy Gray that was very much like you describe.
  21. Well at least they're doing it on the cheap...
