  1. None taken, we’re all used to people on here reading things and then applying their own lense and putting 2+2 together to get 5. So, in the interests of clarity. Joe Rothwells Dad was on the train to Coventry City and interjected a group of Rovers fans discussing (slagging) the team off. Began the conversation with “Hey, don’t talk about my lad like that….” then went on to say everything in my last post. That did happen, fact. This has been further corroborated by two or three other posters on here, who as far as we know have independently backed up those claims. Him saying this stuff is pretty standard and NOTHING like the Trippier stuff. Odd that you’ve made that link. So, feel free to cast aspersions on the character of Rothwells Dad if you like. The truth is that he didn’t really give a fuck about speaking out. His lad had been denied a potential chance to x4 his wages and has pretty much downed tools since January anyway. He’ll 100% not be playing for us next season. I appreciate there are some on here who just don’t want to believe it because it jars with their understanding of how football / life works. That’s fine, iv just tried to give as much info as possible about a conversation which did actually occur.
  2. In the interests of clarity to those who are addressing the WBA rumour. I’m pretty sure it’s come from a few of people on here who were all sat in a carriage en route to the Coventry game a few weeks ago with Joe Rothwells Dad. He said the following: - Bournemouth had bid £3.5m rising to £6m if they were promoted for JR at Christmas. - Mowbray wanted the cash at Christmas to strengthen and Venkys refused it. - JR has a x4 wage increase offer on the table with Bournemouth vs Rovers offer. - The general training / coaching at Rovers is average - Venus deals with the contracts but is a troublemaker - Venus on behalf of Mowbray is advising the out of contract players not to sign deals with any other clubs because they’re going to WBA in the summer and could offer them a better one. This is what Rothwells Dad said. Full transparency. Make what you want of it…the two or three posters on here who’ve passed that info are just the messengers.
  3. Yes, a friend of mine applied for an advertised job on the coaching team last March / April and was told the position had been “put on ice” as there was an expectation that TM was to be removed. Was also told that candidates had been interviewed (suspected Neill and Wilder) - obvs this didn’t happen most likely because were an absolute basket case of a club but also likely because TM & SW spun this tale of Covid etc… This reason why I think (and hope) it’s different this time is because I believe there’s and appetite on both sides to call it a day. 🤞🏽
  4. No way mate….watch any of his interviews in the last month or so. He talks in the third person.. ”These players and the fans must continue this journey..” blah blah I would be astonished if they’re not all gone (announced before the last game)
  5. He isn’t staying on guys. I’m completely convinced….don’t believe there’s an appetite on either for that to happen. The ‘open secret’ came from members of the squad who are being tapped up and advised not to sign new contracts elsewhere by Veno (Who is apparently a troublemaker) so that Mowbray and his team can make them offers once installed at WBA. No suggestion that they’re telling them not to sign Rovers contracts but by the sounds of it that’s just purely financial. JR offered 4x what Rovers are and likely PL football whilst RN’s offer from Rovers is apparently a joke (Very low). The only one we have a chance with is DL…but I think he’ll wait for Tony et al to turn up at WBA and at least double his current offer 🙁
  6. I never understand why people have to be so melodramatic about Mowbray…. He’d done a half decent job until last March when he should’ve had the bullet. Those suggestingnhes worse than Kean or Coyle need to get a grip. Why people can’t just say he’s done a decent job but now needs a a change I’ll never know.
  7. I don’t think the deal has been signed but verbally agreed. Venus advising them not to sign shocked me too…it’s an absolute disgrace. Yes, all from Rothwells dad.
  8. Prob Closer to £500k but Bournemouth offer is 4x what Rovers are offering 👍🏼
  9. I think you’d be surprised how high Mowbrays stock is outside of our fanbase.
  10. That’s what Joe Rothwells Dad said 🤷🏽‍♂️
  11. £3.5m up front and £2.5m if Bournemouth go up.
  12. Haha - it’s water off a ducks back. I do know that they’re confident that the WBA job is sorted. So much so that ‘Veno’ is telling the out of contract lads (DL, JR & RN) not to sign any deals elsewhere because they’ll be able to offer them all a contract! 👀 Im also absolutely CONVINCED that TM is keeping Dack fresh so he can come in for him in the summer - this bit is just my opinion.
  13. He’ll blame Venkys for not sanctioning Bournemouth’s £6m bid for Joe Rothwell for our drop off. He had two players lined up with the money. Venkys pulled the plug.
  14. We won’t. It’s worse than getting relegated. Because he has this habit of creating hope and then flattening us with a Mowbray death spiral.
  15. Come on mate….they don’t want him, he knows that by now. Imo the India meeting is a ‘thanks for everything Tony’ meeting… Big question is, who if anyone do they have lined up?
  16. He’s got a top one! With money to spend…wouldn’t surprise me if he’s keeping Dack fresh so he can put a cheeky bud in for him in the summer too!! Be tempting to any promotion chasing club to think they could get DL and JR on a free and a full fit Bradley Dack through the door for £10m?
  17. Would anyone be in the slightest bit annoyed if it were true that Mowbray has a deal lined up to join a Championship club in the summer? That he was advising the out of contract three, not to sign elsewhere (there’s upto 4x what’s on the table at Rovers on offer elsewhere - it’s 100% about the money) because he will be able to offer them deals at his new club?
  18. Kaminski Lenihan. JPvH. Wharton Nyambe Travis Rothwell. Giles Hedges. Buckley. Brereton Subs - Pears, Ayala, Zeefuik, Johnson, Davenport, Khadra. I don’t think Khadra will start because he hasn’t really trained. He’d be a good player to bring on for BBD at 70 mins. If they decide BBD isn’t fit to start I think they might put Zeefuik at LWB and play Giles as the left wide forward. Looking forward to the game. Would love to see a return to form and 0-3
  19. Pretty sure he’ll play as a wide forward as we haven’t really played with anyone up front since we changed to 3 at the back. Buckley & Dack will rotate in the false 9 position centrally and Hedges, BBD, Khadra, Dolan and Gally will fight out for the two wide forwards positions. Poveda will hopefully supplement them from April and Markanday joins that pack from next season.
