  1. Tóth Brittain - Carter - Hyam - Pickering Travis - Tronstad Cozier-D - Cantwell - Hedges Gueye Subs: Pears, Beck, Baath, Baker, Buckley, JRC, Dolan, Siggy, Ohashi. Fixed it 👍🏼
  2. Honestly, with keepers I don’t think it matters what league they’re playing in. A shot is a shot, a cross is a cross etc. If he’s been scouted right, a 26th old international keeper who has just recorded some of the best stats around shots saved etc in Europe, isn’t really a “punt”….
  3. I understand it, but honestly, I’m past worrying about next season. If Coziol Duberry and another Loanee turn up today and carry us to the playoffs and into the PL, then we can deal with that problem next season. Ideally, I’d like all our best players on long contracts, but I’d prefer we have a top player for a year than an average one for 3. Now Rudy, go get us Ben Doak, Coziol-Duberry and Cantwell…sit them behind Gueye, and ANNOUNCE automatic promotion! 🤣
  4. Wait, TWO new wingers… Are you classing Cantwell as a winger or expecting Cantwell, the keeper, plus two wingers?
  5. Well, technically Trav was always an 8 (Up and downer). Mowbray converted him into a 6. Sonny is a classic 6 Dack is the clearest example of a 10. Ergo…. Cantwell is a 10 Baker is an 8
  6. What an absolutely useless c**t Eustace is! Can’t even get his mate to sign for us! 🤣
  7. Tbf, stealing a wage is probably too strong and insinuates he wasn’t trying. A waste of a wage is probably more fair. I genuinely feel sorry for him because Mowbray had a bloody 4yr contract on the table for him 🤦🏽‍♂️ and Nyambe’s agent advised him not to sign it as they could do better. Then the new regime walks in, watched him train for a hour and pulled the contract. Nyambe’s camp came back with their begging bowls. No dice. 🤣 The proof has been in the pudding since he left. Nice lad, terrible player.
  8. Yup, both absolutely biz, over prolonged periods. Kept on because they were “Nice, hardworking” lads. In context - Brittain is a good Championship RB. However, after watching Nyambe run aimlessly around for years, it felt like we’d signed prime Cafu in Britain’s first season. Similarly, Gally had evoked some type of Stockholm syndrome on most fans, myself included, where we kind of accepted having a striker who never looked like scoring. Then we signed Gueye and Ohashi, neither of who are world beaters and within 20 minutes of a friendly at Stockport I’m thinking, “Jesus Christ, THIS is what a Striker is supposed to do!” Actually get in the box!? Be on the end of crosses!? Make intelligent runs off the back of centre halves!?
  9. Mate - Rev’s assertion on Nyambe has floored me. Honestly, nice kid but literally stole a wage under Mowbray. Proven since hel left as he picks up stinking move after stinking move and still can’t get a game, anywhere. Furthermore - I rate Brittain as one of our best players. I think he’s very good at this level.
  10. Just missing a CM, but I think that would be the best window we could’ve wished for.
  11. I would say it suggests “4 by the end of the day” mostly because that’s what he’s typed!? 🤷🏽‍♂️
  12. Nicko reckons 4 potentially done today…👀 Im going Toth, Cantwell, Dembele and Duberry (Brighton winger). Midfielder tomorrow. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
  13. I haven’t watched him but reading between the lines he’s VERY highly rated! 😃
  14. I think so mate. Cantwell is a 10. Midweek vs Blackpool confirmed that we cannot go into the season with Buckley and JRC backing up Trav and Sonny. If / when we get Cantwell and a winger it gives us a lot of forward options. Another Striker would be good but seems a luxury with Gueye, Ohashi, Leonard, Weimann and Tyjon in the squad.
  15. LT article reckons TC, Toth, a winger, CM and no senior departures. Maybe Vale and a couple of younger lads out on loan 🤞🏽
  16. It’s 100% worth the gamble. I reckon the big sell from us (John Park) is “Come back home (England), work with John Eustace, who is great with the lads and rebuild in an environment away from the bright lights of London. Be a big fish again…if you can rediscover your best form, the fans will love you, you can lead us to the PL and be the man. If you can’t help us get promotion then you’ll get a great move. We have a history of developing forwards and selling them to top tier clubs…see Arma, Sammie…Brero has done well.”
  17. Yes, apparently JE has taped a note to it with following in permenant marker “PRESS FUCKIN SEND” 🤣🤣🤣
