  1. He’s a right side forward coming onto his left foot. Provides more options….we have a lot of those now but that’s a good thing, right?
  2. I watched Hedges last night and thought he looked really good 👍🏼
  3. I think John Buckley will slot nicely into that role next season and Rothwell (should he leave) will never be spoken of again!
  4. I’d be shocked if there isn’t a cb locked in, Markanday style….us letting Carter and Magloire out on loan now is an indicator. I’m thinking you’d, perm signing with an eye on the future.
  5. Thank you, that’s brilliant!
  6. Can someone tell me what type of Midfielders Garrett and Adam Wharton are? I haven’t seen either play 👍🏼
  7. Agreed, we should’ve scored more but I thought we lacked that cutting edge / full tilt mentality. As oppose to Birmingham where we were absolutely ruthless. I’d like us to get back to that because it saves my nerves. I’m not taking anything away from the recent heroic performances.
  8. Great result and resilience shown. It certainly feels different…like we’re onto something. Slight concern…I make that four games now (4-0 against Birmingham) since we were in full flow in an attacking sense. Hopefully back to our best vs Hull City 🤞🏽👍🏼
  9. Assuming Deyo and Markanday are in the bag 🤞🏽….I reckon it could be O’Riley, Healy and a CB. Letting Carter go on loan is interesting…does leave us short if we lose a couple of CB’s.
  10. Assuming Dack comes back to anywhere near his best we have a top player in this league. Imo he was top 3 in the division before his first injury. He’s also absolutely perfect for that false 9 position that Bucko fills and once in his stride, will assist the wide forwards and score more goals drifting into the box. Buckley is now getting the plaudits that those who had a keen eye for a player, have known for years but he’s an 8 by trade. A CM who will now develop into the full package fighting Rothwell for a spot next to Travis. It’s a really nice squad shaping up now. With the addition of Deyo and from what @J*B said Markanday i am going to enjoy watching this team and see how this unfolds. Expect a CM (maybe O’riley) and. CB in the next week or so…then a cheeky Maja bid on deadline day!?
  11. The £3m a season into our Cat A academy has been a wonderful ‘speculation’…. The alternative is to understand the risk, try to improve the squad based on the cash you can afford to spend.
  12. Who knows what the point of it is to them? If you want the job, find the cash to buy them out and give it a crack yourself pal? Im not saying I don’t want exactly what you want. But I also see the risk in in ‘going for it’ not getting promotion and then paying the price. How would you feel if we spent £10m, missed out on promotion and then had to lay off 50 staff in the summer? These are the risks and conversations that will be ongoing…
  13. Mate….they’re £200m in. £200m!!!!! They haven’t made a profit on anything. AA cost us £3m, has cost at £1m a year In wages for four years minus the 30% from Newcastle and the P&L is probably saying £7-8m profit from an overall investment of £200m. Of course we hope they’ll keep pumping £20m a season in, write off the £200m and reinvest all our player sales cash into the squad…but we can’t EXPECT it! Please, let’s have some context.
  14. If love nothing more. I want us to capitalise on our position and I hope we do. But I feel disempowered to demand our owners pump £5m in addition to the £20m per season and £200m overall investment because I can see that like them or loathe them….they spent a lot of cash already. Lets hope and pray that we have a great window 🤞🏽
  15. Someone is getting sold this month!!
  16. Yeah, was a strange comment from @K-Hod. My stance is pretty much the same as every other I’ve read on here. I like Nyambe, he’s a decent Championship fullback and I’d like him to stay….but, of the three who are about to be out of contract, in my opinion, he is the least skilled, least impactive, holds the least value and is the easiest to replace. There’s many many wing backs out there who can do the same / more than him and won’t break the bank. Now I appreciate that this opinion won’t be shared by all but I’m unsure why it would infuriate them. It’s not unreasonable. Back to transfers in…looks like some might be fairly imminent. Anymore on the radar now other than Zeefuik, Souttar, Hedges, Burke and the Leeds loan winger?
  17. Interesting that when Mowbray was pushed in his interview re transfers he said words to the effect of…. “It’s just about finishing them (transfer deals) off” - as if we had them all lined up.
  18. No, never seen him in my life. But I’ve seen enough of RN to know we’ll replace him VERY easily. Don’t get me wrong, he’s decent. But that’s it.
  19. If you genuinely think you’d pay Ryan Nyambe in-line with the top earners at the club then it’s time to just close this convo down. You’ve either lost the plot or you’re his agent! The post from 1864 is measured and believable. It’s not a million miles off what SW said to me after the Sheff U game. As oppose to your love in, Nyambe ramblings. Can we just agree to disagree?
  20. Because the other two would be REALLY hard to replace and have a high resale. So we see the value in paying them more….whereas Nyambe is a decent Champ defender and will be replaced easily prob by this Zeefuik. Its not difficult this.
  21. I don’t think we’ll sell him to Bournemouth - would be promotion suicide
  22. Really? I didn’t think Pickering was that much better but if you say so…👍🏼
