  1. I’m not condoning it but the answer to my question is basically no one in their right mind.
  2. The buck always stops with the manager or leader in any business. That’s why they are often disposed of in the event of poor performance. That’s not really the point I’m making here though.... The point I’m making is that in general most people don’t blame themselves and even when they feel guilt, they often believe they have it within them to turn it around. The strength in the decision has to be from above them. Really and truly, if you were working as hard as you could and believed you could do the job, would you walk away from £500k a year?
  3. My experience as an employer tells me 9/10 people never see poor performance as their fault which causes them to sit in until either, they are pushed out OR they find something else and leave.
  4. Every modern day business is run on data combined with opinion, culture and feel.
  5. Neil is a dud and his transfer business has been even worse. We can do so much better than him.
  6. I wouldn’t want Alex Neil. He only did well with the players he inherited. Has actually had more cash to spend than most other PNE managers and lost some players at Christmas but made their record signing too! His signings have been as piss poor as his tactics. Next.
  7. Wilder going to Celtic apparently. My source is one of the Sheff U first team coaches who’s planning to go up there with him. So I think we can scrub Wilder off the list.
  8. It’s a VERY good point that his team was sussed out by November. Lots of people (on social media) latching onto the excuses being spewed out about defensive injuries etc...which are relevant but your defence being depleted does not absolve your manager or the rest of their team of their duty to break teams down. If you can’t defend then try to win 5-4 don’t blame the fact that you cannot break teams down on injuries to Wharton and Ayala!!? Rovers have not played really well since November 24th, Preston away. The matches are literally the same every week. Loads of possession, no cutting edge and a stupid mistake, lose the game. Who is addressing this?
  9. @Sparks Rover speaking of Preston, see your boy has set the place on fire over there 👀
  10. The “we shouldn’t have given Dack a new deal” morons are out tonight I see!! Absolute bollocks. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but the club tying down our best player was the right thing to do.
  11. Kammy Nyambe Lenihan THB Douglas Buckley Trybull Dack BB Dolan. Elliott Tried to keep it the same as we’re playing well. JRC interview proven that he needs looking after and I’d rest SG too. Other than that, play and look to freshen up the midfield and Douglas during the game. Plenty of options if people tire.
  12. That’s exactly what I said, thanks mate. It was also well before Buckley became our most used U23 and the reason I’m happy to be being proven right on what I said, is because I got SO much hammer for it at the time. However, Rovers treatment of Buckley since then (playing regularly, in every match day squad, longest contract at the club and numerous management / staff interviews the latest whereby the manager also states they believe he will be a PL player) all indicate that I was telling the truth. He was seen as the jewel in their crown then and, a bit like Foden at City, they’ve resisted all advances (There’s been many) to take him on loan because they want him close to them. They believe he’s special as do many fans / posters who are avid 23’s / youth team watchers. The fact that I’ve always stressed I hadn’t seen enough of him, I thought would have been received better. The ‘8 figure’ valuation came from people at the club following on from a conversation involving two PL scouts who were at the match to watch Buckley who had just started to make the odd cameo appearance.
  13. YESSSS!!! Thanks so much. You’re right, as I’ve said on SOOOO many occasions I hadn’t seen enough of him hence I didn’t rate. Buzzing you took the time to prove my point. Which was that THEY believe him to be the one. A point that was dismissed, out of hand by many on here. Great to be proven right. Thanks for digging that up and backing me up pal 👍🏼😊
  14. Buckley Above link to Mowbray article in the LT. Bucko is ‘the one’ they believe will go the full distance. 👍🏼🔥
  15. How we playing? positives? negatives? im not able to watch tonight 🙈
  16. With us playing Brentford on Friday night he’s definitely rotating tonight...Nyambe, Johnson and Rothwell coming in at a minimum!
  17. I reckon you’ll end up having to eat your words.
  18. Cory could probably do the same at the level Whitemans been playing at. We’ll see what an absolute dynamo he is in the Championship. Done nothing yet! Be really interesting to see maybe next season if we could compare the impact of Buckley on our team and Whiteman on Prestons. Goals, assists, key passes etc. It would of course be dependent on them both getting the same amount of minutes but it wouldn’t surprise me if Buckley was streets ahead... FYI - That’s not because I’ve seen loads of Buckley. It’s because I’ve seen enough of Whiteman to realise he’s a middle of the road Champ CM (A Cory Evans) whereas the staff at Rovers are convinced Buckley is ‘the one’ and a Premier League certainty. We’ll see!
  19. Not entirely true. We’ve played some real crap recently and made them look half decent. The performance yesterday was good.
  20. Good performance. The first since Nov 24th. Well done lads 👍🏼😊
  21. Good first half 👍🏼 Stand out players - Dolan, JRC and Lenihan excellent! THB looks a cracker and Trybull has done well. Buckley, Brereton and Gallagher must do better! Overall - Happy 😃
