  1. I started a reply to him and had to delete. The post made no sense.
  2. Really? Williams and Wharton are out for the season...Ayala still out....so basically we’re back to Johnson if either Lenihan or JB get injured.
  3. Haha - I knew what you meant pal. Like I said before, for me this next Cb is a body really....that’s why I said I wasn’t bothered if it was Kipre or not. From what I’ve read THB is the REAL DEAL. If we’ve pulled this one off then it’s a great deal for us
  4. Yeah, who needs another class young cb on loan!!? Tosin and JB have been awful so far! 👀🤷🏽‍♂️
  5. This is brilliant news!! Pickering is very highly rated and he’s got potential to fill a long term gaping hole in our team. I’m not overly bothered about Kipre tbh. We just need a body and I can’t see how we can offer him regular football. Ayala should be fit in two weeks too. I’d bloody love us to go and get a CB out of League 1 or Europe for a couple of hundred grand rather than loan one.
  6. Confirms nothing mate. Kipre didn’t go there ‘to sit on the bench’. He went there hoping to play in the Premier League. He hasn’t been deemed as better than what West Brom.
  7. I don’t think the Raos see us as the scum of the earth. Their continued support of the club and money donated to community projects etc are proof of this.
  8. Whatever Bennett lacks in ability he makes up with endeavour. He can fill in if need be at fullback and anywhere in midfield. But for me, I’d want to keep my biggest positive influencers in the dressing room. So long as he’s happy with that role then I see no reason in pushing him out of the door. The only way I see this happening is if Benno goes to the manager and asks for the move. It seems like a great one for him. Near to home and would likely get an 18 month contract which provides him with another year of playing plus income etc.
  9. I wouldn’t let Benno go until the summer unless he was absolutely desperate to go. He’s been a good servant to the club and is versatile. But in our current situation, just outside the playoffs and 10pts from 12 I think I’d keep him purely for his influence in the dressing room. He’s a BIG character in there and I see no point in unsettling it.
  10. Haha - at least no one shouting ‘Mowbray Out’...that’s a start
  11. Pretty average performance overall. The back 5 were class. No doubt getting consistency is important but the addition of JB has been very good. Trav much more like himself and Arma back in the goals. It’s a bloody brilliant win in context. Id be starting Gally if we’re going to play with two up top like today.
  12. My guess is Holtby and Bell on their way out. Could be perms or loans. Along with maybe a few of the young uns... Pickering and Kipre in
  13. Ahhh of course!! He’s under absolutely no pressure to win games in the Championship is he? Come on mate, let’s be real here. We currently have two first team LB’s and I’m pretty sure they were going to wait until the summer for Pickering. But he’s obv going cheap and so they’re striking whilst the iron is hot. They may have their eye on one of the young lads to back him up next season. But either way, now is not the time to be taking chances or not signing first team’rs...
  14. Hahah what are you on about? Surely you’re not one of those who think ‘the fans’ picked Travis!? He’d been at the club years mate. As for Nyambe, well two years on and there’s honestly times I’d play my 8yr old in front of him...though the times I feel like this are becoming less and less. The point made earlier about the young lb’s was correct. In any case, next season we won’t have Bell or Douglas so for me a LB is a very important position to fill. This is one of those times where he literally cannot do right for doing wrong. If he doesn’t get a fullback and tries the young lads he gets slaughtered. He goes for his first choice LB and there’s fans not happy that he hasn’t played the young lads 🤷🏽‍♂️
  15. Even if they wrote off the debt we’d have to find someone willing to pump in £15-20m a year just to keep us afloat! 🙈
  16. Ahh 100%...if Venkys walked away and wrote off the £200m we’d still be absolutely knackered.
  17. Thankfully we don’t need to balance those...focus on keeping within a reasonable range in terms of FFP. I can’t see anyone being sanctioned for FFP for a long time though...
  18. Having watched both players every day they don’t rate them enough to be our first choice lb next season. Seems pretty reasonable to me.
