  1. Honestly, I’m sure there are lots of better managers than Mowbray but Warnocks reaction to Branthwaite has put me right off him. He’s not fit to manage our great club. Regardless of his record, I’d never compromise our standards.
  2. I quite liked us with 4 across the Midfield when we made the subs so I’ll go with the following: Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan JB Douglas Elliott Trav Davenport Rothwell Dack Arma
  3. And as if by magic...said I could smell something was off with these interviews etc
  4. I honestly don’t see the point in going over the penalty incident. There are terrible decisions in near enough every game in the championship. We scored a perfectly good goal in our last match which was 3yrds onside and ruled offside! It was 0-0 at the time and so hearing in mind our record that changed the course of that game too...and? The penalty wasn’t given, tough shit. It’s done now and Boro didn’t do enough to beat us. NEXT
  5. I quite liked the 442 or 4411 after the subs. Dack was more influential as were Gally abd Breo 👍🏼
  6. Yeah, Warnock the absolute prick having a go at an 18yr old at the end of the match. Poor and disjointed. The subs helped, we got the three points and I thought Lenihan had his best game in a year!
  7. What a win, what a team!!! Tony Mowbrays blue and white army!! 👀🤣🤣
  8. Branthwaite has done ok...it’s the lack of any pattern of play which is so alarming!
  9. The most accurate reflection I can give is that we are playing like a freshly assembled team. We certainly are not a team who have had a manager in charge for 4yrs...no fluency, no pattern of play..please make it stop!
  10. Other than, and forgive me if I’m repeating myself but ‘they’ absolutely love him!!
  11. True but tbf they’re not doing him too many favours talking the squad up so much! Makes anyone watching start to question the manager....
  12. I think we’re badly missing some aggression and suggested that midfield three especially away from home.
  13. I agree that Mowbray has never nailed a style of play. The first time we did this was the start of this season but it hasn’t lasted. In general, since then we’ve been a pretty poor team playing average football.
  14. I appreciate everything you said and respect your opinion. But my opinion is that there are a section of fans who are / would never be happy. Just because we have differing opinions doesn’t mean I’m wrong or you’re right and it certainly doesn’t mean I think he can do no wrong.
  15. Agree with the team selections. Points of contention Firstly, it wouldn’t matter how bad Douglas was he can’t be as bad as Bell. Secondly, Dack can play in a midfield 3 but not with Holtby. So it’s one of the other for me.
  16. So IF ‘they’ aren’t listening then why did he choose to do the interview? It’s completely out of character for him, right? I wouldn’t be too hasty with with your assertions on 6 figure fees. Firstly, we’d spent our budget and so decided to go back for more. It would appear that we were given what we asked for (shock) and my feeling is that they’re waiting for Crewe to fold and do the deal they want at the end of this month. Either way, they only really need to ask for more...just like rubbing a genies lamp so I’ve heard!
  17. Haha - breathe lads BREATHE!! Mowbray is going to defend his position and his job because HE believes he can turn this around. That doesn’t make him immoral or dare I say it, ‘Kean-esque’. It makes him human. Every single one of us would do the same in his position. His comment about a section of our fans who will never be happy is TRUE. Some of that section post regularly in here for Christ sake!! Maybe it’s not because of Shearer and Sutton or winning the PL that they feel this way but I wouldn’t argue with their existence! The key factor in my opinion here is that Mowbray is acting differently. He’s doing so because of pressure whether that’s internal, external or both and what that says to me is that unless results improve hugely then something is about to give.
  18. I think there are many on here getting over excited with the content and missing out on the real context. In truth, much of what he said is right. Of course he’s going to slant things his way but there’s nothing new there. I’ve had lots of people leave my business and never once have I heard a person say “I’m really sorry, I’m just not good enough”...but are you telling me that there isn’t a section of our fans that are NEVER happy!? Is he lying about the impact of losing 2/4 of your cb’s for the season and another for 6/8 weeks wouldn’t be catastrophic for any club? Of course there’s embellishment...BUT the real questions I think we should be asking ourselves are... ”why has he suddenly decided to do this interview and defend his position?” ”why did he choose his pal to interview him?” ”why is he suddenly reeling off more excuses than ever?” ”what’s changed?” Imo he’s nothing like Kean and he doesn’t deserve that comparison. He’s a good guy who’s done a good job and realises that he may have run his race...he obviously feels under pressure. Im convinced it’s the beginning of the end. I just hope it all gets handled in a classy way.
  19. I agree. But he literally pulled every rabbit he had out of the hat in 10mins...it was like he was being interviewed for a job!
  20. I don’t know but if held ALL the power why would he even bother defending himself? Never mind giving that creepy interview? Seems off to me..
  21. I’m honestly not sure but Mowbrays conduct over the past couple of weeks has changed markedly in my opinion. He’s making a real effort to provide mitigation for the bad performances (more than normal). Mate, you HAVE to listen to the interview!! I found it fascinating. He’s obv rang his pal and said I’ll come on, put my point across! 🙈 My feeling is that they’ve had a mid season review and it’s gone badly. Swag and TM are in the firing line...is Swag retiring or being pushed? 🤷🏽‍♂️
  22. I’m not sure...I think the recent increase in excuses and then THAT interview are sure signs that he’s feeling the pressure and trying to quell the unrest. If it’s true that Waggot is retiring then this only adds to Mowbrays problems...new broom and all that!
  23. Yeah, that reference was strange!! “Some of the fans remember Shearer and Sutton, they’ll never be happy!” Wow...I reckon the message has got out to Venkys. That interview is fascinating from a Mowbray point of view. He’s never ‘defended’ his position like that before...
  24. No, just feel like he set the interview up to get HIS point across. You have to wonder about the timing and his motivation...”the owners understand that we’ve had three Cb’s out...well I hope they do..” 👀
  25. I haven’t known him ever volunteer for an external interview like that before? Timing seems too much of a coincidence and if you listen to the podcast he barely gets asked any questions. Just rolls straight into his life story and protecting what he’s done! Seems strange....
