  1. Mate, did you not watch that performance? If I didn’t know better I’d say Arma had a few quid on Watford. He found so many ways to miss sitters...Lenihan too...?
  2. Argh, I don’t think we can play that well every week sadly...but I’ll take your bet for playoffs...of that I have no doubt!
  3. We’ll win a lot of games playing like that. If we could recreate that performance every week I’d put decent money on us going up automatically!
  4. Weird I know...It was a TOP performance. Don’t think I’ve seen us dominate a contextually better team away like that for years!! Lenihan and Arma owe the lads one for that. Should’ve won the game at a canter. Deserved to! Disappointed about the result but excited about this season. With Trav, Rothwell, Dack and Douglas to come back I’m now (after that performance) absolutely sure we will finish in the top 6. ???
  5. Yup. Soon enough Douglas will be in. Once he’s ready ??
  6. Which weaknesses? If you can’t see that was a top 6 performance then it’s you who is ridiculous. TOP performance. If we play like that for the rest of the season I genuinely think we'll have a chance of going up automatically. Battered Watford....Arma and Lenihan poor. Should’ve won us the game. Onwards and upwards
  7. 67% possession and 18 shots against a top side. Genuinely don’t know how we lost that game...we were by far the best team. Swap out Evans and Bell for Trybull and Douglas on Saturday. Williams for the potentially injured Ayala. ??
  8. Eh!!??? We haven’t had 67% away from home many times in my life. The players have worked hard here and we have played well...but we’ve lost this game purely down to individual player errors. 18 shots and only one goal....we’ve missed a bucketful tonight.
  9. We got it tactically right tonight. Dominated a top team from start to finish. The manager can’t make Armstrong miss three top chances and a penalty. He can’t make Lenihan be less cumbersome for their third or take the blame for Lenihans header in the first half which should’ve been finished. Onwards and upwards
  10. Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Ayala Douglas Holtby Trav Rothwell Elliott Dack Arma subs - Pears, Williams, JRC, Trybull, Buckley, Dolan, Brereton This team / bench gets us into the top 6 of the Championship this season.
  11. Prob more to do with their fitness levels but yeah..
  12. Great performance 1st half...vulnerable down our left with a top player in Sarr vs the dreadful Amari’i Bell. All to play for second half. Tell you what...Put Douglas, Trybull, Rothwell, Dack and Trav In and this is gonna be some team. We won’t play against this quality every week.
  13. Strong team...looks like BB through the middle and we’ll be countering down the wings
  14. Absolutely. But with the abstractions we’ve got and for his development he needs to play again on Wednesday for me. Hopefully we have Holtby back. Johnson will be tired.
  15. The sooner Rothwell, Holtby, Dack and Elliott are back in that team the better. Poor performance from a disjointed team...I think Dolan will do well to start on Wednesday. My starting XI kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Ayala Douglas Holtby Trybull Buckley Elliott Arma Brereton
  16. I’m not surprised we haven’t created many chances. As stated in earlier Hughton is a negative type and his teams are well organised and we have lost our two most creative players....BUT fuck me can we please just pass to each other in the second half please!? There’s no point working hard, winning the ball back and then casually passing it back to them! ? Cone in boys, sort it out!!
  17. Only if your a glass half empty guy. If you were glass half full you might love the fact that our best players Dack, AA, Lenihan and Travis worth what, £60m in current market? Cost us £3.75m. How much could Dolan be worth by Christmas? You might also think that the development of say BB who is 20? Will likely see him justify that fee. ??‍♂️
  18. Yeah that’s much more likely...I was just making a point re the irrelevance of the fees vs prominence... Your post actually strengthens that point as basically none of the contributors cost much money and a few are worth a fortune.
  19. Huge wages apparently
  20. Please see my additional point on that post. Edited afterwards, apologies.
  21. No. I was just pointing out a fact. But ultimately the manager has to win games. Previously he hasn’t had too many options in that wide forward area but now he has plenty with addition of Dolan and Elliott plus development of BB. He may still choose to play SG out wide to isolate a fullback and whip some crosses in from Douglas. But if SG can’t cut it out there then why would he do that with those I’ve mentioned on the bench? Mowbrays job is to win games and get us out of this league. He’s got enough credit in the bank with Venkys and the fans to not start his two biggest buys. But he will lose his job if he can’t get this squad up in the next two seasons. Top 6 a minimum this season, up in two at the very latest!
  22. I also think that the loan signing of Elliott puts more competition into the wide areas and positions SG more naturally into a central position. SG as first sub for Arma with Elliott, BB, Dolan and Chapman as the wide forwards....until Dack comes back ?
