Young United keeper.
-
There’s no boast. I never broke the news.
-
I agree ?...I was massively deflated with the young PL loan focus too. Apparently Iversen is very good. If it’s a young lad I hope it’s him
-
Exactly right.
-
Eh? ??♂️
-
Depends on the money I guess ? Couple of years on the best money you’ve ever earned and a chance to stake a claim in the PL. Got an inside track on the keepers situation. The goalkeepers union in full flow and lots of chatter. Had Muric, Iversen, Ohara and possible Marshall a week ago. Told a couple of people privately in here.
-
Yeah, I really like Marshall too. There’s an opportunity to get him on a free. But think he might go to a PL team to be their no.2 Would be a shame. Iversen is VERY highly rated. Rotherham want him back but just signed a bumper deal with Leicester and they can’t afford him.
-
Yup, would be keen but there’s interest from newly promoted (to PL) team to be their no.2.
-
Tbf mate, you kept it under your hat, thanks. It’s actually one of Iversen and Muric as No.1 and O’hara as no.2. (Don’t shoot the messenger) Hope they get some cash quick and go for Marshall who would be keen too.
-
This would be class.
-
So, Iversen, Muric (Young Prem Loans) eh? Who knew? Only a week or so late Nicko! ?
-
£10-15m for AA is a very fair offer. Also hugely fair on the player to let him go. Opportunity of a lifetime for these guys.
-
I don’t begrudge him wanting to better himself and play at the top level. He should’ve dealt with it a lot better.
-
I’m sure he can afford to call them from abroad mate. ?
-
If only life were so simple mate. The reality however is that many many owners of companies make mistakes, mess things up and then walk away from their responsibilities. In fact, you’ll be hard pressed to find many examples like ours where in spite of the fact there’s no emotional / historical connection, an owner pours millions of pounds into what is in effect a failing business with no obvious upside. They're not mandated to put £15m a year into Rovers. But they still do. God knows why!
-
Apparently it’s the minimum they should be doing right, @K-Hod ? ?
-
David Bates leaving Hamburg. Weren’t we linked with him at some point. Big CB, decent pedigree...
-
That is the most sense I’ve seen on here for a long time. Great post.
-
Hmmm....yeeeee-no it’s not. Dack is our best player and talisman. You can skirt around it all you like but the stats don’t lie. The likelihood is that we would’ve accumulated more points if he were fit.
-
Because we’re not in the PL? Because The Walkers sold out to some absolute nutters? Because someone believed JA and SK? Because our owners didn’t know we could be relegated before they bought us? The list is endless... But lots of people make big huge whopping mistakes and just simply shrug their shoulders and walk away. For whatever reason this lot pour cash in and have done for a decade.
-
You make a good point. I’m not sure if Armstrong does....but I think if you asked any club if losing their main man would effect their chances adversely of gaining points they’d say yes. Dack is a million % our best player. His injury definitely took points off us imo.
-
CAN I JUST STATE ONCE AND FOR ALL THAT IM NOT THANKFUL TO THE OWNERS I AM JUST POINTING OUT THET THEY DO IN FACT PUT £7-8M PER YEAR INTO OUR CLUB. ????
-
Absolutely correct about conceding those goals. Serious question though...if Dack HAD been playing since Christmas, how many points do you think he could’ve won us? I’m thinking about those tight games that we drew or lost...by a goal. 3pts? 5pts? 7ptd or 10? My guess is 5pts which leaves us 2pts outside the top 6. So Chaddys point about Dack is relevant.
-
Mind blowing.
-
I just simply proved that I have and I would...it’s a fact just like Venkys putting £7-8m a year into our club is a fact.
