  1. Leave it out lads. Josh isn’t gonna make it up. Sometimes things change etc...if it’s not today then maybe it’s going to be tmrw
  2. Odd that no other outlets have had a whiff of anything yet if this is happening today....serious kudos if it does happen as suggested.
  3. Lindsay or Sarr with Kipre still a possibility would be ok
  4. Can’t blame him really. Chance to play in the Prem. Still think we’ll get Kipre tbh. Don’t think he’s a player you’d sign this summer if you were going into the PL
  5. I think he’s given Mowbray his word and is now screening his calls trying to buy some time...
  6. Hahahhahaha....only in a a Friday night pal
  7. I’m going with Sarr...
  8. He’s got decent pedigree. Had a bad injury didn’t he?
  9. Sharpe openly said that we had gone down the line with two permanent, uk based players and a potential loan in the cb position last week. looks like moves for Lindsay and possibly Sarr have been ongoing alongside Kipre... Re Lb - Bryan Oviedo anyone?
  10. But none of that is damaging for a supporter (or anyone). It just means that you always hope for and expect things will turn out alright...if you believe in the law of attraction it means it probably will. But more importantly It means you don’t spend your life being absolutely miserable about anything. As for the bigger picture, that can be anything you like. Some might see Rovers bigger picture that at some point, soon Venkys will stop pouring cash in and we will be another Bolton or Bury. Those who believe in that ‘bigger picture’ may look to others who seem content and happy and think they’re naive...but what if those who are content and happy actually ‘see’ further than Venkys? Maybe they feel deep down that they’ll still have their club no matter what happens and they believe the club will prosper in the end? Maybe they believe that ultimately as long as they and their loved ones are healthy that nothing else really matters?
  11. Of course, I wasn’t the person who mentioned “hate” that’s too strong a word for me but how can ‘blind optimism’ from a supporter EVER be damaging? Optimism and positivity can never be damaging so long as you are not in charge and even if you are, the very best leaders are more often than not more ‘blindly optimistic’ than anyone else! It’s negativity and pessimism which has the potential to damage anything. Regardless of context.
  12. She’s warming up cocker!!! ?
  13. I really like this one...?
  14. Hahaha brilliant! So, it’s his fault for messing it up if we don’t sign Kipre...but if we DO sign him then it’s because wba don’t want him? Fancy that... I notice all those with the potential ‘red faces’ have come out fighting though..??
  15. You won’t hear anything from me. I’ve nothing to be triumphant about. I haven’t nailed my colours to us utilising the European network or spending money or negotiating tough deals. I speak up when I see unfair criticism... However, as I’ve said. Those who HAVE stated we “don’t have a pot to piss in”, those who’ve sneered at the European scouting network set up by Mowbray and those who claim he cannot attract the right type of players (lemon drizzle blah blah) may feel a little...silly? Perhaps? ??‍♂️??
  16. Exactly! So IF (that’s for you @Wing Wizard Windy Miller ?) Kipre DOES choose Rovers then those who usual slaughter Mrs Mowbrays Lemon drizzle cake (and Tony’s patter) might be forced to eat a mahoosive slice of humble pie...? ?
  17. If he (Whitney) thinks it’s still on then it prob is. He has no obv reason to lie (ie isn’t some wanked out transfer account or attention seeker based on his previous tweets etc) and broke the Kipre story before any journalists had even mentioned the name. Seems to have the inside track? Let’s see. Ill tell you summat though...if Mowbray pulls this £900k transfer off under PL West Brom’s nose after signing a keeper via our European scouting network then things in here get interesting! Those who’ve mocked the European model, said we were skint and we’d be reliant on freebies and loans and reckoned Mowbray couldn’t tempt players with his Mrs Lemon drizzle cake might well be feeling a little red faced...?? fyi - bearing in mind we’re in the middle of a global pandemic, aren’t generating cash and are perilously close to ffp troubles, who’s paying for all of this? Hate them all we like, but they always pay up! ???
  18. Yeah and the champions, Liverpool lost the charity shield, as they did last season which turned out ok for them...??
  19. Please see managers take on Smallwood and Mulgrew as a reference. Bennett has had his day at Rovers now. He’s a utility man who plays when there’s injuries. He isn’t first choice and is out of contract in the summer when he will likely be moved on or offered a year on reduced terms. As I said, I’m not losing any sleep.
  20. Haven’t seen any cheerleaders saying Nyambe is crap. But I have seen some sensible people refusing to accept that Nyambe has been unplayable for four years and should’ve already made 200 appearances for the club. Im sure if Tony had only noticed that he had a young Cafu in the ranks he’d have given him a 10yr contract! ? Nyambe has great potential. We know this because he can be a 9 or 10/10...the problem is that he can also be a 5/10 too. I’m not losing any sleep on this one.
  21. ?? bloody hell, let’s not get our knickers in a twist over a tweet from TC9!!
  22. I don’t think you’re understanding.... Managers usually have the player kept away from the first team, full stop as well as scheduling extra training etc which forces the player out. Both Mulgrew and Smallwood have spent the last 12-18 months sat on their arses, picking up wages AFTER the manager told them they weren’t in the picture. But during that rime they haven’t been shut away from the first team. On the contrary, they’ve been a part of everything. One of those players acted with dignity, took his wages and accepted the managers decision whilst appreciating not being jettisoned. Trained all week with the first team and then played for 23’s. The there’s the curious case of Charlie Mulgrew. Clear enough?
  23. Yes, played for. But he needs to keep his fitness up and isn’t part of the first team picture. He still trains or at least trained with the first team though..
