Looks like Perryman has given an exclusive to the Sun with his "apology" CLICK HERE Wonder how much he was paid...

The punishment was probably a little harsh given his apparent regret, and considering that other professional footballers have ended up with just 100 hours community service for far worse racial crimes. I think its nailed on that Rovers will announce their own measures against Perryman now that the criminal proceedings are over. So he is sorry for his actions? Thats doesnt make it right does it. Im suprised he only got what he did. £1000 fine is not alot, considering how much police costs alone would be. Its hardly like he burgled an old lady or killed somebody is it. What have those who assaulted Abbey relative in the hospital car park got ??? Nothing yet, as the police have been led by the media to spend a large amount of resource on this crime. Fact is, he pleaded guilty which then further reduces costs all round, as no witnesses to call, no expensive trial, and not a lot of extra paperwork and time. Costs of investigation is NOT a factor in length of potential sentences. Its a fairly hefty fine for a 22 year old for which appears to have been a first offence. Allied that with the nationwide shame he now has to face, he'll probably end up with far greater punishment from society in general, and possible loss of employment Which he deserves. Compare this, with the punishment Woodgate and Co got for racial assault.

Would it not be a life time ban from the club, a 5 year ban from all other european grounds and then maybe a suspended sentance? I would have thought on top of that would be a fine, and maybe at a push some community service. The magistrate is hardly likely to put them in shackles and send them to Australia.

Police have now confirmed that David Ashcroft, 21, from Leyland and Jason Perryman, 22, from Chorley will appear before magistrates on Thursday. Source http://news.bbc.co.uk

Possibly not, but to get the £10 ticket, he had to at least know a season ticket holder as the cheap tickets were never on open sale. Its not the first time we've had a nutter cause embarassement to the club at Ewood for a sky game. (Idiot who ran onto pitch to confront the ref vs Leeds), and its not the first time i've seen Rovers fans ejected for racist abuse (2 who travelled with the 100 club at Aston Villa 2 seasons ago). I'm reliably informed the club took swift action both times.

It was a ROMA scarf he was wearing. Nothing to do with Burnley, and the issue at hand here is how do we deal with OUR racist fans. EDIT - Kick Racism out of football have issued a statement on last nights incidents, which seems to be a far more measured response than from Jims colleagues in the gutter press.

Of course they have, by a bunch of clueless journalists looking to sensationalise something. I'd start putting your own corrupt house in order first

This game is the first game I have truly looked forward to in about 10 years More so than the CM clones or any production line FPS game, and i'm gutted that I wont be around for 2 weeks to play if if I dont get it first thing friday. Soundtrack was one of the standard features of GTA:VC.. Everytime The Cults Sanctuary was played, I couldnt resist nicking a motorbike and just bombing around town at full speed. GNR and RATM will probably bring out similar feelings.. -

We drew at Anfield 1-1 last season (I think it was last anyway) when Cole hit that screaming half-volley from about 30 yards. How it never won goal of the month I will never know... Also Matty scored the first goal in the home game last year. Then we had that 4-3 game at Anfield as well. -
Bloody Scousers have stolen the preview (OK - Its not finished yet, but it willl be here later and I thought i'd give the doom and gloom merchants a chance to say we will get beat 4-0 again)

If you object to being filmed, there is a very simple and easy way to make Lancs Constabulay's life so hard that it will no longer be cost effective to film fans at Ewood. Simply use this template letter to request the footage that contains you. Not only will the have to spend a substaintial amount of time and effort locating the footage, but they'll then have to blur every other fan in the footage. It won't take too many people requesting their footage to force the police into stopping filming. Unde rthe DPA you have a legal to such footage (including from CCTV cameras) although you can be charged a maximum of £10 for it. Methinks somebody has been watching too much Mark Thomas. Seem to remember an episode of his comedy product where he went round London filming coppers and annoying them to the point where he was threatened with arrest.

I do wonder why they have avoided rearranging the one from August though. Last I heard the FF Chairman wasnt getting his calls returned.
