So we haven't signed anyone. Game tomorrow with 3 of the first team out injured. Thursday is going to need to be busy. I can already feel the anti-climax. Probably 2 loans. Nowhere near good enough.

Yes we need defenders. We simply won't last the season with what we have. However, in the games up to now the problem has been our midfield. Absolutely anonymous. AWOL. In hiding. Awful. Bullied every game. No control of the football. No link up play between defence and attack. Now I haven't quite put my finger on exactly why. I think its how they are being asked to play, combined with missing some proper experience in there. If it doesn't change we are in for a long season down the bottom.

Hedges and Warton played well when they came on. Changed the game. Ayala excellent as always. Otherwise it was shite.

At home we have had 2 shots on target. Really poor. Much better second half but didn't create any chances to score.

Stats now say we had 4 shots. Must have missed those. Unless they are counting some of the wayward passes as shots. Awful. We have no midfield at all. Ayala the only one with any credibility.

They will be taking their long bank holiday weekend. So in my mind there are only 3 days left and a game in there to distract. BBD goes on the last day with "no time to replace". We sign literally nobody then Ayala and Philips pick up injuries next weekend. This is easily the most likely scenario.

Just read the JDT interview. Alarm bells ringing (or he wouldn't say it). Comparison to the good job done by the DOF at Malmo.... compared to DOF Gregg. Clearly a big tension here.
