Bristol City (H) - Saturday 14th March (3pm KO)
TheKitGuy replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Not really looking forward to this one too much which is a bit strange, possibly down to the fact we haven't really showed much fight / desire recently. I'd go for Walton Nyambe Lenihan Tosin Bell Trav Johnson Rothwell Downing Brereton Arma 1-1 nervy game with Bristol looking a constant threat, (13270 attendance) -
Proof right there.

Don't know maybe the though of being in the playoffs and having to endure another couple of matches is putting people off

Just under 10 to go and the place is emptying out.. our fan base truly is awful wouldn't know atmosphere if it hit em!

Question, what do you think the percentage of teams that have beaten us do the little cone thing before coming on after HT, do you think it gives teams an edge as opposed to us coming out and standing still for a minute or two? Random thought of the day. -
This is a tough tie more make or break than the previous game that's for sure.. I'd look to stick with the same squad as the Brentford game possibly shoe horn Rothwell in somewhere but only if he is fully fit, This part of the season there's no place for half fit players trying to put a shift in. I can see it being a nervy affair but one that on our day we should be able to cope with.. wary of Stokes new found striker Tyrese Campbell keep him quiet along with McLean and we should be okay. 2-1 Rovers (Armstrong , Johnson) (Ince)

Brentford (A) - 12:30pm KO (Sat 22nd Feb 2020)

Nobody else think we were a little bit poor? Defensively we seemed solid enough but lots of times we lost possession by passing to them and we didn't offer much up the top? Still happy with the point though, take it and go forward. -
January transfer window 2020
TheKitGuy replied to GunnerRover7's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That's because of the catchment and the pull of United... Like I said earlier a 10yr old Mason Greenwood is going to say yes to United over Rovers and that's a fact. -

I see your point and understand what you're getting at.. I'll raise you players that have gone through United's academy in recent times.. Frazier Campbell, Danny Drinkwater, Corry and Johnny Evans, Tom Cleverly, Fosu-Mensah, Tom Heaton, Adnan Januzaj, Michael Keane, Josh King, Tom Lawrence, Jesse Lingard, Paddy McNair, Scott McTominay, Oliver Norwood, Anthony Pilkington, Andreas Pereira, Gerard Pique, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Ryan Shawcross to name a few that you might recognise.. All of these players above have played Premier League and are solid players and barely played for United either. Could you name me that sort of calibre of players that have left rovers and gone on and done that? It's a proven fact that United have a better success rate of helping youngsters make the grade. -

This is just silly. The pulling power United have over Rovers to get the youngsters is so much greater.. there's a good reason as to why the United u23's are a division below.. they loan out large majority of their youth.. Let me ask you, You're 10years old and Blackburn and Manchester United come calling.. you're 9 times out of 10 going to choose United. Hence why their youth sides produce better talent and that's why in recent years Man City have started producing talent. It's on a whole other level of recruitment. And I can tell you now Thompson and Butterworth would not hold their own in that United team no matter how poor people think the side is. -
I think it's 10 years at a club

Bristol City (A) - Bradley Dack's Christmas Break
TheKitGuy replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Walton Nyambe / Lenihan / Tosin / Downing Trav / Johnson / Evans Holtby / Rothwell Arma Thinking behind this is, two very decent playmakers should be able to slip the ball through the defence for Arma to run on to, here's hoping anyway. with the 3 in the midfield we shouldn't lose too many battles in there and that's what we have to start doing against the 'bigger' teams which is controlling the midifeld -
Swansea City (A) - F*ck it, let's make it five!
TheKitGuy replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Is it interesting or is it the stay away fans coming back? see 98-99 25.7k last season in PL before relegation and then 01-02 25.9k so really is it a gain of 200?? -
Anyone else notice the "please don't bang on the glass/walls" a4 print outs placed in the BBE on Saturday? it's the only part of the ground that creates somewhat of an atmosphere!

Swansea looked woeful on Sunday, they will want to prove a point at home but i can see it fading midway through the first half, 3-1 Rovers plenty of counter attacking football. Arma Gally and Dack for the goals, and hoping for Holtby to make a mark tonight -
