  1. The goal we conceded last night was bread and butter for any keeper except Pears. Nice height, pace, and across the 6 yard box. Positive pears was behind the line when it went in
  2. Just watched the game back and it was just as good as the first time. So refreshing watching the attacking players movements. After being used to static players with direct runners who were easily marked apart from Sammie. Weimann, Ohashi, Gueye, brought forward runs behind the defence. Not always used but they pulled the defensive shape out of all sorts. Not easily marked and the fluidity πŸ‘€they were not in each other's space. Buckley's range of passing in to the holes and in behind utilized these runs and a joy to watch.
  3. Agreed, Buckley's range of passing was excellent tonight. Even shown some fight tonight putting pressure on the keeper. Not his usual coasting performance
  4. Professional performance. Unlucky not to keep a clean sheet, Corner placed a nice height across the 6 yard box with pears glued to his line again.
  5. Anyone know what his weekly wage is? As the site I use states 14-15k a week. Checking Ipswich squad it states the average wage is about the same going to players like chaplin.
  6. Switched from Rovers to Ireland after pressing on him. Just don't know which way this will go. At 29 you want to play as much football as possible. He's in the Ireland set up and that was due to his Rovers form. Ipswich haggling over the price fee and taking too long to get the deal done, personally if it were me I'd be thinking they don't want me enough. Which would suggest I'm not in the plans for the starting 11 and could potentially play a bit part season. Yes you would get the premier league player status and more money, I think if Rovers offer better terms he could potentially stay.
  7. Leonard still 6 weeks away. Wonder why he was at Peterborough game. DoppelgangerπŸ€”
  8. Has speed no one in our squad has. In our set up and the counter attacking football we play I think he'd do a good job.
  9. Been watching the game. Shown great bursts of speed and took a few whacks in the process. Would be very handy for us. Birmingham booing players off 1 down at half time
  10. Hearing Leonard at Peterborough and is signing on loan
  11. Positive he's a west ham fan. Goes to games got the shirts, even posts pictures doing the hammers swords sign.
  12. Saw an interview with Ben foster and he states there's no better place to find a box commanding keeper than in the lower leagues. Stated every opportunity to put keeper under pressure is maximised at every opportunity. The long throws in the box, corners on the keeper etc. He reckons every promising keeper should learn the trade there and believes most Top end keepers would struggle with the way football is played down there
  13. One thing's for sure the substitutions changed the game but need to keep in mind that these were forced subs due to lack of match fitness in certain areas. It also shown Eustace what a triple sub can do at the right time. The quality off the bench is better than what where used to these past few seasons and it's great to see. As for the goals conceded we were comfortable up until Gueye went off. If we can find another that can dominate the area like he shown we should be alright. Plenty of positives to take
  14. Can add Buckley to that list. Don't think Eustace trusts him. Overlooked in pre season and didn't get on tonight. Has the quality on his day but don't think he has the work rate to be a Eustace player
  15. Agreed. One good save where a more competent keeper who commands the area would of demanded a man on the front post. Sticks to his line when you need him to come out and command, and rushes out when not needed and makes mistakes. Decision making is terrible for a keeper
  16. One Fans comment on derby telegraph, Blackburn were poor, we were worse πŸ˜‚
  17. Pears performance tonight just proves the next signing must be a goalkeeper. Bad decision making, Doesn't organise and command the area. He made a great save off that corner but would easily been cleared if he told Britain to get on front post.
  18. Most clinical I have seen us in a while. Bad to concede from two set pieces but that can be worked on. Big Mac done a brilliant job on defensive duties until he went off and pears stuck to his line like glue didn't help
  19. Hedges not brilliant on the eye but he works with Pickering really well. We conceded loads down the flanks last season and I feel Hedges offers something defensively
  20. First 25 minutes moved the ball quicker and gaining yards through the midfield. Gueye showing his qualities, off the ball runs giving us many options going forward. Hopefully we can hold on to this lead
  21. Crohn's and a twitchy bum is not good for my health πŸ˜‚
