I was at Elland Road on Tuesday and it was a tremendous game. Leeds dominated the 1st half and again should have been 2 or 3 up. The injuries to Cooper and Shackleton in the 1st half and them having to come off changed the game. West Brom took the game to Leeds in the 2nd half and deserved a point. The pace both teams play at was brilliant to watch. Both of them will be Top 6 and I think if you finish above them you are going up.

Fingers crossed.

Swansea won at Leeds 2 weeks ago but having seen the highlights it should of been 7-1.

Leeds will win this by a country mile this season. Lot of teams very very similar in quality. Nketiah for Leeds could well be the signing that more than likely would of got them up last season. Fulham and West Brom will be in the Top 3.

Huddersfield are in free fall. Hoyle can't wait to sell up. The Cowley brothers have gone from 140k at Lincoln to 1.4m with the Dog Touchers. Can't blame them but this season is a write off.

Well 6 games in now. The League is nowhere near as strong as last season. Apparently Swansea mugged Leeds last weekend. Swansea will be top half. Charlton mid table. Preston could be a surprise bet for the play offs. Can't really look beyond Leeds and Fulham going up and by quite some distance. West Brom will stay in touch with them but a gap will open up.There are some bang average teams in this league.

Can you remember the Bamber Bridge festival being banned by the Police around 1985 after a huge brawl on Morgans Field between the Briggers and the travellers running the fair? Carnage ensued with bottles baseball bats and chains. Obviously I moved away in 1990 but pretty sure its never been held since. Only place I can think of round here that doesn't have a summer event. Shame that. Also used to be mayhem at the Raft Race on the Ribble at the Shaws Arms/Bridge Inn with the Briggers and Townies. Halcyon days.

Only born in 68 mate so no but both parents were/are massive football people. My mum was a regular at Ewood from the mid 50s till the mid 00s. (Riverside) My Dad was a regular at Deepdale from the late 40s until Tom Finney finished around 1960 then just went now and then. In fact both my parents were at Finneys last ever game at Deepdale against Luton Town. Both say Douglas was a great player but never in the same league as Tom Finney.
