So as usual rivers are unorganised and late on dates, the club chooses its kits two years in advance so they should have been ready for July let alone now, so we have our first friendly in 6 days time and it looks like we will be in last seasons kit, 10 bet have now pulled the plug on sponsoring us so we are now without a sponsor which I dont blame anybody for cause aoosrentky a lot of sponsors are struggling to pay their fees no thanks to covid. But back to the subject why is it every bloody season we cant get our kit out at a good time ? Surely releasing it asap would provide much needed revenue? Not even staff know the release date it's pathetic and unproffesional, Last year says it all for me the club stupidly picked a grey and green shirt to start with then was gonna leave it at that until the fans had to Express on social media that it clashes with every team in white so they rushed to umbro and said we need a 3rd asap so we ended up with a limited edition shirt, so that summed up how organised this club is that not one of them after all that time of knowing the away colours realised that we needed a 3rd as grey clashes with white, cause there was definitely no plans of a 3rd until fans raised concerns cause both umbro and rovers confirmed on twitter there wasn't gonna be one. One year left on our umbro contract and I hope we do away with them and other mainstream overrated manufacturers and go with someone like hummel or macron who design better kits anyway rather than throw us a catalogue and say pick one mentality

Season Tickets 2020-21

I will not be renewing my season ticket while things stay the same, i can no longer commit to pissing away hundreds a season on absolute crap like this season, square pegs and round holes as people say, last night summed up mowbray, when we are losing and the players are in need of leadership and inspiration what does he do ? Sit on his arse sulking on the back row rather than rallying his troops, neil warnock would have been bouncing round last night, we are in need of a manager with fresh ideas and serious passion, mowbray is boring as hell, talks a good game but delivers crap We are losing so takes of two of our biggest threats and brings on our worst player, I cannot stomach it anymore it's too frustrating and wagging is too pally and not ruthless enough to say enough is enough. Delusional mowbrayites will make excuses all day long and it will only be the same next season if not worse, o cant even be bothered typing all the things wrong with mowbray. Change is needed or season tickets will be down, there is nothing for the fans to actually buy into unless your gullible enough to believe in mowbrays bollocks, not wasting my money anymore on mowbrays dull, uninspiring, predictable shite, another season if centre forwards out wide, no fixed system that suits the team just tinkering every week with 50 different formations. the cowley brothers would be ideal candidates, respected highly, new ideas, passionate and active on the touchline Unless you acknowledge this crap and and show some ambition you can shove your season ticket up your ass Mr waggot -
Typical rovers go a goal up have them against the wall then concede a shitty goal so we then start feeling sorry for ourselves, luton are garbage, a typical power league clogger team only a threat in the air we cannot lose to them again
-
Luton got extremely lucky at ewood, rovers dominated, luton time wasted from the off got 2 lucky goals against the run of play, did anything to con the ref and wasnt we disallowed a clear goal too which the ref was gonna give until their players pressured him and the liner ? Reminded me of the Charlton game, inability to break down two poor sides here for the taking, lick being with them and against us
-
You cant be serious? We was relegated over 46 games not 1, we were perfectly within our rights to play whatever team we want its not our problem those teams are down there soecismky when we wan a look at our academy graduates for next season
-
Completely agree! But mowbray extending contracts for the deadwood who haven't played until after the Luton game sums up how he dosnt have the intelligence to do as you've suggested
-
I'm the same, no point anymore, just the same old
-
Well said, bennett contributes newt, just a brown noser who gets picked for being that just like Lowe, no quality just running round like a headless chicken Goes to show borebrays weak management, he renewed them contracts for players who are leaving until after the luton game why ? They ain't playing they know they ain't gonna be here so why would they care anyway? Just a waste of a wage Bennett needs to be moved on straight away and I doubt he ain't one of the highest payed players, would rather give a youth player a chance who had something to prove and will bring something to the table than him, smallwood and co, I've always said I would rather the bench be filled with upcoming stars than crap deadwood journeyman Bennett can't head, pass, cross or shoot he's utter garbage

My ideal developments would be Riverside: new 3.5k stand brought to the pitch similar to preston and west Brom, disabled facility's and large function facility's that can be turned to hospitality on matchdays, blue and white seats in all 4 stands taking out seats to accommodate more leg room as suggested above Museum and cafe: club museum open matchdays 5 hours prior to kick off and for tours showing off our history with trophy room, dosnt all have to be about the first team too, can show our academy history showing an academy hall of fame of the likes of duff, dunn, jones going onto bigger things plus ladies history. The cafe inside the museum serving hot and cold food and drinks ( no alcohol), arcade and play area for kids too to attract families, season ticket holders free otherwise 1 pound entry which goes to running costs, pictures taken with trophies, we get fans from all over the world who come once in a blue moon so how good would it be if they could have their pics taken with the prem and league cup ? And maybe with a bit of luck in the future the fa cup Blues bar: being a bar only like any normal pub, free for season ticket holders, the 1 pound entry puts off a lot of folk specially after 1 where you cant get a seat Club shop: there is a few options, (1) knock it down and rebuild making it bigger and easier to store all sorts if decent stock that will sell unlike the shite in there now, could even push it back onto the car park making room for other things like the fan zone (2) move it into the stadium, dont know exactly where but putting it in a new stadium will be too far out the way so needs to be kept near the roads (3) build it inbetween the riverside and blackburn end with a window at the back looking into the stadium -

Agreed, tbh to tidy the stadium up a bit the seats should be changed to blue n white so it's an excuse to take the seats out and reduce the rows for more leg room -

Aye bang on mate! I've been calling for a museum and cafe inside a new stand for a few years just atm the club lacks the big forward thinking needed for it, the museum could be used for ground tours aswell -

Agreed! Great post that made a lot of sense, if Preston could afford a new stand then we can -

One thing I forgot to mention is putting in a club museum,we have a lot of history so celebrate it and show it off, stick the trophy room in there too so everybody can see it anytime rather than when they go to functions, tours and events -

Good idea, the stand needs to be closer to the pitch with it also matching the other three, put a club museum in too -
The Riverside Stand Renovation Thread

This is a topic that's interest me for some time so I'm curious to see everyone's opinions. The obvious thing is the riverside needs a makeover atleast, when people say ewood is a shithole the only reason they say that is because of the riverside, if you walk round the sides and back of it (Blackburn end side) there is all sorts of crap dumped there and it's a complete mockery of a good standard and what was a state of the art stadium until the super stadiums started going up, the tv gantrys hanging off the roof make it am even bigger eye sore So what could be done? While financies ain't great these days not helped by the pandemic of course its unrealistic to expect a new stand completely even though on two occasions I spoke to waggot about the subject and how the stadium needs maintence as it's starting to look dirty and tacky in parts,he openly told me plans have been out in place for a new riverside stand which would include facility's that can make money outside of matchdays and also downgrade the capacity a bit, otherwise an idea would be to give the stand a makeover, new roof, removal of pillars and maybe an inside concourse by knocking through which means removing seats. Jack walkers ambition for the stadium meant we a small north west town club was never gonna fill our stadium, even 31k has always been too big for us, a capacity of 25k like the dw would have been about right so thank god his plan to make the place 40k didnt happen. What would you like to see happen with the stadium? -

Mowbray: Stay or Go - A Poll
TheRovers1994 replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Has to go! Yes he's done a great job getting us back on our feet but from a football pov he's room us as far as his capability, he has no real plan nor identity of play, no touchline presence even his backroom are useless bar johnson, him,his assistant, first team coach and gk coach need to go. With this pandemic and the fact we splashed cash on players who ain't contributed enough even though they haven't been played correctly so their confidence isn't there we are gonna be looking to cut back. He extended leuitwiler and smallwoods contracts why ? They dont play and know they are leaving so why would they sweat for us ? Just a waste of a wage and their places on the bench could have been used by youth who would bring something when called upon. I would honestly go for gareth Ainsworth, would bring a solid hard to beat system and is an up and coming manager, damien Johnson as his assistant manager with new first team coach and gk coach appointments, Ainsworth is also a Blackburn man and well respected Mowbray has to style of play, one game we are tiky taka look shit hot look like we can hammer anyone the next we are smashing it into the riverside with no clue, he lacks a firm game plan, no ability to change a game when the going gets tough, he just puts his hands in his pockets head down hoping for a miracle so has no fire in his belly barking out orders and rallying his troops like neil warnock for example, he's also messed up the balance of the team and hasn't recruited to suit the formations he likes to play -
Summer Transfer Window
TheRovers1994 replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
This is a logical way of looking at it Mowbray likes the system 4231/433 we currently do not have the players to suit that system in reality, the wingers are actually strikers, Armstrong the only one capable of being a winger, I've said all along 532 or 5212 would suit us, nyambe a tank going forward would be a wing back meaning has more freedom to relax and Express himself going forward and bel who is actually a LWB anyway by trade, mowbray and some rovers fans first noticed bell against Fleetwood in 2017 when rosler the cod boss at the time played a 532 system that suited bell and he ripped us apart and was the difference between them getting a point, if mowbray wants the 4231 formation to work he needs to bring in 2 or 3 actual wingers who can cross a ball to start with, until then the 532 suits us best and I firmly believe that, going off what's available right now this would be an ideal team to fit it Walton Lenihan Tosin Carter Nyambe Costello Travis Johnson Holtby Armstrong Graham Either way mowbray needs to find the best system and stick too it, players in correct positions,no 6 foot 3 strikers on the wings who cant cross let alone anything else, I said at the start graham shouldn't get a new deal but i have mow changed my thinking, he should get another year to keep that calm experienced head with a view to a coaching job. What's needed in the transfer window Bell given a new short deal maybe Samuel proving he's worth another punt Wharton deserves a chance, he's gained experience at Northampton and looks to have improved in his ability and physicality and could be our next lenihan We need a keeper or two if mowbray doesn't see Fisher as a number 2 A decent left back to become first choice or compete with bell shoukd he be here still Right back to compete with nyambe Two wingers If samuel and graham get new deals then we have them two brereton and Gallagher as striking options, brereton needs to go on loan Gallagher given a fair run as a striker not played on the wing, I would preferably like to see Armstrong as a striker but cant see it under mowbray
