Let them worry about us. Let them worry about Downing marauding down the wing, overlapping Rothwell. Do Liverpool drop Robertson against physical teams? A lot of people say Rhodes would be no good, but he was a fan favourite for Champions Norwich last season and scored some vital goals.

He desperately needs to go on loan. Fleetwood, Blackpool or another localish team. As long as he is getting game time as a striker in hope of him finding some type of form and confidence to bring back with him.

It reminded me of Peterborough away in League 1 that also ended with Dacky scoring.

After Tony finally stumbled across a line up that most fans have been calling for all season, do you think that with these few additions in January our team would be good enough to perhaps challenge at the right end of the table?

Because BB, AA and SG aren't good enough. DG very rarely starts but his all round game and the way he holds the ball up allows others ie Dack to play off him. I would love nothing more than SG and BB to start banging them in but I just don't see it happening. Out of the 2 I would persist with SG until the end of the season. As for BB send him out on loan in January to a League 1 side and hope he finds his scoring boots. I would bring in a loan striker in January, my personal preference would be Dwight Gayle but that would take some real persuasion on behalf of Mowbray and Waggot. Failing getting Gayle then perhaps Rhodes. It needs to be a proven Championship goalscorer. The balance of the front 4 last night was spot on, and all that we need now is consistency in selection. Rothwell has to start, AA suits the wing more than he does the loan striker. I think DG will be gone to a sunnier climate come the New Year, so a proven striker would then be another must. Potential is there. Whether Tony can realise it is another matter.

I might well be his biggest critic but well done tonight Tony. All we can ask of him is that he keeps that same 11 for Saturday. Don't change anything until we start losing or due to injuries. A Joe Rothwell that scores goals could easily be a Premier League player. Armstrong had his best game of the season. Evans must have had his Irish shirt on underneath. Defence worked as a unit led by the inspirational Lenihan. Loved every minute of that performance. When January comes I genuinely believe we are only a keeper, a centre half and a left back away from a quality team. Don't piss about with this formula now please Tony. It works!!
