no,when the old riverside was condemned the seating at the top was pulled down and the terrace at the front was converted into a temporary standing area,circa 1989 the terrace concrete was pulled up and whole riverside was renovated and extended with new concrete terracing at the front,a new roof and an extended steel section at the back,like others have said,it was`nt a new stand just a renovated one,rumour has it,even jack walker who supplied the steel free of charge was`nt to happy at the final outcome,been my home since the old blackburn end was bulldozed,i like its rustic charm tbh

they beat you easily,gave jdt a superb blueprint of how to play against burnley so what does he do,ignores all that,puts a raw 17 yr old in midfield and a stand in left back(who has`nt played for 6 months and is **** as well) and plays right into your strengths,with a manager like that it`s pretty clear we won`t be going anywhere this season,unless you lot have a mass of injuries or a huge loss of form it`s clear you and sheff utd will be going up

if your not the best technically and are a bit out of your depth then at least try and make up for it with effort,from what iv`e seen of hirst he does`nt even bother putting the yards in

sheff utd far and away the best side in the division,jdt should be watching them and gradually purchasing the required players,unfortunately he appears to be 100% polar opposite,fanny football and slow build up with no regard for set pieces

we are losing games in midfield because we are lightweight,dwell on the ball to much, don`t get it forwards quickly enough and can`t tackle,eventually over 90 minutes ,we beat ourselves by not being able to get out of our own half,we are an absolute dream to play against

just got back from a family meal out(could`nt face another rovers away day)typical of rovers,we are as weak as a newborn kitten,jdt seriously needs a good transfer window especially in midfield,there needs to be 3 or 4 f*****d off as well

indeed,you would`nt get a scaffolder to do the electrics or an electrician to do the roofing,it`s about getting your players to do jobs that they are trained for,if you want someone to take the ball from your centre backs then go out and buy someone who can do it,if you can`t afford it then adjust your tactics,not quantum physics is it,it`s a facet of jdt and mowbray before him that really annoys me
