  1. dyche for the boot and the new owners to announce a brian laws type appointment😂
  2. choosing over utd and burnley is akin to asking wether you`de like to be stabbed or hit over the head with a brick
  3. no fernandez for utd but still can`t see them having a problem with burnley, who don`t actually try to do anything but grind out a result
  4. two things that would boost the crowd ino a public apology from venkys and a positive message from them about ambition a ceo who knows about the area and football in general, swag has`nt got a clue about the game imo i don`t hold much hope for any of the above in reality🤫
  5. we`ll leave the play offs to the also rans,we the rovers ,going straight up😉,3 points at preston will do it
  6. very pleasing result, always a good sign if you don`t play well and still get a result,******* hell for the first time in a decade im`e optimistic😅
  7. getting excited now😁,lets have six points and demolish the pie lashers next saturday, for the first time in a decade, there is genuine excitement and expectation going into a new footballing year😊
  8. no,he lost interest a few years ago, though to his credit he did gift them the ground,i think they`ve since sold it back to the council, who don`t charge them rent but don`t contribute to the upkeep or maintenence
  9. it would kill the club off unfortunately, keeping the ground open takes most of their income because it`s falling to bits, they only got to play in the national league because the league gave them special dispensation for a season,to get victory park up to national league/football league standards would cost a masssive amount
  10. sorry i did`nt know it was cat a 🤔,that illustrates how useless the people running our club are
  11. the huddersfield game on 2nd january should get a big crowd, tbh i can`t see more than 10/11 thousand on tonight,we should be getting bigger crowds though,i blame swag and the invisible commercial dept ,as ceo, swag has`nt a clue how to market the club
  12. i remember (circa 89/90)when chorley were in the conference(national league) and for a memorable month they went top of the league😀,victory park was rocking and crowds were nearing the 3000 mark every home game, unfortunately then as now, they could`nt compete with the ex league clubs and the likes of barnet, yeovil and wycombe who were all full time, they survived the season but the next ended up in relegation, great times and some brilliant cup runs as well
  13. the crook anderson was basically running the club in the early venkys era,he wanted big sams players out and kentaro`s in,giving him a massive commision obviously, think thats were the issues of contract bonus caused the trouble,he did`nt want the players to get a big payout when he was about to offload them
  14. director of recruitment john parke has loads of contacts in scotland,if players are coming here it will be from there, there was even a rumour he`s been looking at tony watt, currently at motherwell😲
  15. tbh,if the chicken brigade are so keen on promotion they should be upping the wage bill allowing swag to persaude 3 of our better players to sign new deals
  16. can see us winning handsomely,we`ve had a nice long break and should be raring to get at em,cmon you blues
  17. yes and it`s not like they have a squad of 22 either, chelsea and man city stockpile players, you can`t trust any of the so called big four, they have no interest in anyone but themselves,if you give into them it`ll end up with them choosing their own schedule, they did try to join to the ill fated euro league after all
  18. it appears the common cold and flu have now both been vanquished, nobody has suffered from either of them in the last two years but they`ve all got/had covid, unbelievable😀
  19. no,this new variant is just like a bad cold, runny nose and you feel slightly unwell,it appears the virus has become less dangerous but more virelant,it is however lethal to footballers, politicians and journalists😉
  20. i would`nt bother even thinking about wednesday night game,it`s deffo going to be a 3 week shutdown for the whole of british football, the local authorties, certain football managers and the police don`t want to carry on, thats before daft boris has listened to the doomerchants of sage as well
  21. it would`nt surprise me if barnsley suddenly had an omicron outbreak as well, they can`t be fancying playing us on wednesday night
  22. hull were insistant on the game going ahead, most likely some jobsworth from the local council or police told them to call it off on elf and safety grounds, hull themselves are on a pretty good run, unlikely they wanted it cancelled
  23. fulham with 71% possesion🙂but sheff utd do the goal scoring
