  1. It was very full around me this evening in the Jack Walker upper. I could count the regulars (ST holders) on the fingers of one hand. Most of the fans appeared to at Ewood as part of larger family groups making it a Christmas outing on a one off basis. The ST holders looked like they were staying away to be replaced by occasional visitors who would not have been impressed with JDT and our players.
  2. For any moaning minnies out there seeking to blame Rovers if there is a postponement let’s deal with fact not idle speculation. I was at Ewood for a work meeting yesterday and the pitch looked magnificent; the groundsman TW was even cutting the grass. He told me the undersoil heating has been on all week along with the pitch ‘daylight heat lamps’. If it is off blame the snow / referee / local authority / Police not the Rovers.
  3. We did sign a striker, the lad from Spurs. Sadly he got injured. It is time to get Jack Vale into the squad.
  4. Preston Rail Station is closed to all passengers so I am not sure Millwall fans would be able to change trains onto the minor line to East Lancs. I am in Leyland at present and the weather is foul and the snow is sticking. There is sadly a good chance the game will be off.
  5. No one is being bussed in tomorrow. The Ewood Express is, I believe, next running for the QPR game.
  6. Three players really worried me tonight. 1. Buckley. How many cheap misses can he be responsible for? What happens in training? 2. Lenihan. What was he doing with those impetuous bookings. I believe that will result in a 2 game suspension. 3. Zeefuck. A headless chicken who created nothing and provided very little of note.
  7. In the week before the end of January there were 3 meetings with Nyambe’s agent. An improved offer was made however the agent would not shift with regards to Nyambe’s demands. It sounds like stalemate. Maybe ‘his head was in the wrong place’.
  8. Lenihan needs a rocket up his backside for that sending off. I believe the first yellow was his tenth and the follow up for the sending off means he misses two games. Buckley I reckon is also on 10 and is therefore suspended for WBA. Mowbray taking off Khadra was bizarre, he was our only creative player. As for Rothwell he needs a bollocking as well for that stupid yellow - he only started playing in the last 20 minutes. For all our effort in the 2nd half we never looked like scoring. It was an easy win for Forest.
  9. So a two match bundle against London teams; that will be Millwall and QPR. Lets see the pricing before decrying it yet.
  10. Surely TP would have an occupational pension as well as a state pension. If his savings drop then his care will be funded by the State; presumably he has a house and this may have to be assigned to the local authority to pay for his care? I am not against helping him and his daughter out but many of us face the exactly the same challenges and it is paid for from savings and property and then the State funding kicks in.
  11. 8 of us just setting off by minibus from Preston. For 6 of them it is their 1st away game. I could not understand why tickets were not sold on the basis of away tickets purchased. Ah well. COYB
  12. The QPR is a good one to target. We are already getting up to 1,000 kids and parents for the BE Upper bussed in via the Ewood Express for that game (sponsored by a local Asian owned business 👏👏) so we could look at trying to fill up the bottom of the DE as 1864 suggests and getting a decent number in The Riverside for a change. Rovers need to be brave and take a chance….it will work you know ☺️
  13. What a post and what a night for you and your Dad. Thank goodness he is still with us. 🙏🏻 Well done to the Boro medical team and all the others that helped. It was also good to hear the good side of football fans and the response from both clubs and both sets of supporters.
