  1. One of the bleakest nights I've experienced at Ewood. Came onto the ground with absolutely 0 expectations. That team is not playing for Ismael and I don't blame them with the absolute non-tactics he's got them playing. Massive, massive credit to our fans tonight, for turning out when there were so many reasons not to and for being so vocal. The most vocal I've heard the Riverside for a very, very long time.
  2. Hyam having his clause triggered being celebrated on social media felt like another embarrassing low.
  3. "PASHA OUT" banner just unfurled in the Ewood Club because the club is refusing to let fans in with it.
  4. This was exactly my thought when I received the email. Flog 'em early before the inevitable sh*tshow that will put plenty off. I'm in two minds about renewing. Unbelievably disillusioned with the club and fully aware that this summer will be more scraping the barrel for short-term deals, but Rovers are a massive part of my life and one which I share with my family. Being driven out by people who don't deserve to be associated with the club is a really disheartening prospect. At the same time, I don't want to financially support the ownership and senior management. Tough one.
  5. I just don't see how we don't get relegated next season with our budget, manager and contract situation. Cardiff were a poor, poor side and we looked plodding and out of ideas against them. Heads well and truly down when they got the winner - completely unmarked, might I add.
  6. Absolutely beyond baffling and frustrating that we wouldn't give Eustace an extension, but have given this fella a 3 year deal. The only future I see for the club is a two-horse race between which comes first - relegation or administration.
  7. It's flipping grim supporting this club atm. Going into every match expecting a loss, run by charlatans with no end in sight.
  8. FFS. They're going to have their heads up now and JE is the master of defending a 1-0 lead.
  9. Quite surprised to see the official club interviewer actually asking questions we're interested in the answer to and not just focusing on the highs of coming away with the win last night. Thoughtful lad is Dom. I can see him making a good coach/manager one day.
  10. We need somebody to get a proper chant put together for Travis. Longest-serving player, captain and been in the best form of his career. He's more than earned it by now!
  11. Felt so low about Rovers for the past 5 days and then I see the players pull together to dig out a win against a play-off rival and I remember why it's all (just about) worth it. Fantastic performance as a team, particular shoutouts to Gueye, Hyam and Trav.
  12. It doesn't seem like contract extensions are high on the agenda (or even on the agenda right now), but who'd want to sign to stay on with this absolute circus anyway? Players like Tronstad, Travis and Hyam will easily get deals at other Championship clubs.
  13. A match almost seems like an afterthought given the many levels of disarray at the club right now, but I'm unbelievably pissed off at this situation coming ahead of a big match on Wednesday. Eustace took training today knowing he wouldn't be here on Wednesday night to choose the team. We're going to be left with Johnson and the motley crew of Benson and Lowe (is he even still around?) trying to cobble together a game plan for a team who must be incredibly upset and frustrated.
  14. That statement. Trying to get out ahead of his departure to try and put the blame on his shoulders and distract from the chronic mismanagement which had led to him ditching us for another relegation scrap. Pathetic.
  15. He'll be picking the team come Wednesday night.
  16. Yep, increasingly wish I could hand in a transfer request at times but I'm stuck with the Rovs!
  17. I reckon there'll be a few "we want you to stay" chants at Ewood today, but that doesn't quite capture the bigger picture of "we want you to stay, but recognise why you want out of this shitshow and wish you all the best" that I think a lot of fans - certainly on here anyway - feel.
  18. What makes it all the more depressing is that you can guarantee that certain eyes will have lit up at the prospect of an unexpected 750k. We've flogged all of our assets and now we're flogging our manager.
  19. A team in the relegation zone is a more appealing option than a club in the top 6 (for now). The most damning indictment on our owners and senior management possible. I'm sick to the back teeth of the lack of communication and the shadiness and gloom surrounding the club. I wish him all the best.
  20. Great stuff from Andy Bayes here, asking the questions we're all asking (although shame the likes of Waggott and Gestede aren't the ones answering them). A lot of non-answers from JE, but reading between the lines it seems that he and the players are very aware and frustrated with the issues behind the scenes but pushing on as team with their togetherness regardless.
  21. If Forshaw's the answer, we're asking the wrong question.
  22. I'd perversely be somewhat fascinated to see Gueye take a penalty! Trav made the right call there though and Dolan was very composed.
  23. Well that was a first half that happened. We usually come out of the blocks fast so conceding so early probably threw off our game plan. That's being generous to a woeful performance from a team that look like they did their recovery from the Preston match in the local Wetherspoons.
  24. Feels like we're limping from transfer window to transfer window with no long-term plan at all. You can already see how summer's going to pan out. We'll trigger Hyam's year option, Dolan will be off and we'll d*ck Batth around so much that, if he does sign, he'll have missed pre-season.
  25. I think to myself that surely, surely, we couldn't balls up the paperwork for a third successive January, but I didn't think we'd do it a second time either... Strange to be a supporter of the only club in the country where a signing - even if they've been announced - isn't guaranteed until they're actually on the pitch.
