  1. The ticket strategy was a mistake, but that does not excuse that absolute clusterf*ck of a performance. We were naive, ponderous and completely lacking in any creative vision. And that's before you even get onto Pears reminding us all why we dropped Premier League, International Kaminski for him.
  2. This club, this league. Never a dull moment. That feeling of getting the win when you've had your backs against the wall for the entire match and coming off the back of a 5-0 loss? Nothing like it.
  3. Brittain did get MotM. It was announced after FT that there had been an incorrect announcement.
  4. Millwall is an absolute must-win. I have 0 faith in this team to grind it out on Tuesday and I'm struggling to see us stringing together enough points to avoid relegation atm. They looked fearless against Newcastle on Tuesday, under the lights and on prime time TV. They need to be laying it on the line even harder than that in the league but they just don't look up for the battle. Heads down too easily.
  5. We've been second to absolutely everything tonight. I'm not writing JE off on the back of only having two days on the training ground with the team, but we've looked clueless and gutless tonight.
  6. I liked JDT, but it felt like a weight had been lifted from the players today. They weren't being forced to play tactics that they weren't suited to and receiving audible disapproval from the fans for implementing them. Things had clearly soured in the dressing room to the point of no return. They looked hungry and ready to prove themselves to the new manager.
  7. So low are my expectations of the club at the moment, I'm actually quite surprised that we appear to have lined up a replacement and won't have the 'dream team' of Benson and Lowe in charge for months and months while we interview for the 'right man' (/the one who'll stick to the company line).
  8. Playing 'Welcome to the House of Fun' at HT. Somebody has a sense of humour after that showing.
  9. With everything that's been happening, today's match almost feels like an afterthought. It's really difficult to feel any sort of enthusiasm when we've got a manager who's been gagged and could be on his way and a team made up of a fair chunk of players we'll be saying goodbye to in summer, either because they're not ours or to keep the lights on.
  10. I listened to the Radio Lancs sport preview show last night specifically because of what happened with JDT's presser. Andy Bayes felt it was completely unprecedented and the consensus was that JDT feels he was missold the clubs ambitions and that tensions have increased over recent weeks as we're limping from window to window with patch-up jobs. They were already anticipating that he wouldn't be here next season and now wouldn't be surprised if he departs in the next few days.
  11. No pay rise, just a new clipboard for him.
  12. It's embarrassing. If a deal is still an outside possibility, why would he even be interested after we've mucked him around like this?
  13. I came into this window with absolutely 0 expectations and Rovers have still managed to go below that.
  14. Rovers are making it really, really hard for apathy not to set in right now.
  15. Has there been any word on when Hedges is back? Feels like he's been "a few weeks away" for about two months now.
  16. Travis was on the bench on NYD. Less than a week later he was holding up an Ipswich shirt.
  17. Why on earth would we/JDT persist with Benson in that role though when our set piece play is absolutely chronic at both ends of the pitch?
  18. Watching that backline in injury time and Scott Wharton was the one organising the team. I have a lot of time for Hyam and think his recent shakiness is down to being rushed back from injury, but a natural captain he isn't.
  19. Same agent as Kaminski. 👀
  20. I did half wonder if this played a part in Travis being offloaded. He'd just reached 200 league appearances which may have triggered a salary increase.
  21. Broughton certainly does. Made a big point about our ties to Brighton like it should be celebrated. If you don't laugh, you'll cry.
  22. The Trav situation is clearly the club kicking the issue (club captain not playing) six months down the line when JDT will very probably be on his way. I don't think Trav would want to leave Rovers in an ideal world. For all his shortcomings, he loves the club.
  23. I clocked Hyam flexing his leg after a set piece about halfway through the first half.
  24. Also in the Riverside and clocked this. I'm not convinced he was 100% from Saturday (spent more time with the fitness coaches in the warm up than the other players) and I don't think he was ever going to play 90 mins. Just frustration that we couldn't turn it around, I think, especially after that shot he had saved.
  25. What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall at JDT and Waggott's next interaction. JDT is clearly done with the guy and his saying what people want to hear.
