v Middlesbrough (a) - 15/10/22

It’s gotten to a point now as a Rovers fan where I would prefer to be 1-0 up rather than 2-0 up. We just seem more likely to concede which shifts the momentum massively. -
v Rotherham United (h) 08/10/2022
Cuppliance replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Have Rotherham recently appointed a new manager? Would be typical for Rovers to be playing a team with a new manager bounce. Either way, I think this one will end in a draw. Can see us scoring first early on in the 2nd half, don't kill the game off, then Rotherham score from a corner in the final 10 mins. 1-1. -
Personally, as someone from Accrington, I wouldn't even give a third of Hyndburn to Accrington. Although the crowds have improved, most people see Stanley as a 2nd team. Look at the friendly we had with them this pre-season. It was practically a home match. I bet a lot of Rovers fans there lived in Accy. From my experience, the main clubs supported are Rovers, Burnley, Man United, Liverpool and there's even been some more Citeh fan around lately. Unfortunately for them, they are most people's 2nd club in Hyndburn.

1960s Retro Rovers Shirts - JUST TWO LEFT

Thank you, I might have to wait for the short sleeve version of it if that's the case. Never been fond of the long sleeve footy shirts. -

Is there there possibility of a short sleeve option? -
Best stand to watch a game at Ewood?

Prefer BB end personally. Maybe that view is a little unfair as I've never once been in the Riverside. Sat in pretty much every other section of the ground at some point or another though. -
I think the name of this thread should be 'Dingles.....'

Championship - 22-23

Not checked the fixtures since reading this post but if we want to catch them in a death spiral we need to play them after the new year. February would be optimal. -
Very nice tribute to Uncle Jack at the Reading match. Lots of respect to that club for doing that for us.

Can’t watch the game but I was at Reading. One thing that was infuriating me was every time a pass through the middle was made it went to the opposition. Hoping the same thing isn’t happening in this game? -

Was always going to be a tough one after they took a battering against Rotherham. I think Ince has done well to get a response from his players but that’s exactly what we need now. A response to a poor performance. If Reading can do it against us, no reason why we can’t against Sheffield United. -

On their forum some Reading fans are saying that our good start reminds them of the good start they had a couple of years ago which soon was negated after the bubble was popped. They think that after Wednesday we won’t sustain the same run of results. On the flip side some are saying we are their first real challenge of the season and for them to only have 3 points against the teams they have played is a warning sign of things to come. Hopefully we win comfortably but this is reminding me of the run-in towards the Hull away last season. -
I agree that it would have a better for the table but I’ll take it for what it is and celebrate it either way haha

Two teams that hit good form last season and tailed off at the end. Both had management replacements too so it'll be an interesting opening game as these two clubs are somewhat mirrors of one another in recent times. -
Kit supplier and sponsor from 21/22
Cuppliance replied to alex l's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That's the one yeah. Just imagine it in blue and white and id be happy with it. I know the opinion is controversial however. I like what you say about it being an away kit though. That would be good in black and red wouldn't it. Glad at least someone likes the idea. I find the "dashes of the opposite colour on each half" idea quite imaginative. I could go for the odd splodge of blue on the white part and vise versa. Hahaha love how blunt that comment was. Thanks to everyone for being respectful in agreeing or disagree with the original post. Can be some quite harsh people on here who wont only disagree with you, they will attack you personally. -

I was telling a work colleague about what Macron could do with our home shirt and he dared me to post it on here after I told him. He said it won't be well received but here goes anyway. The Forest away shirt by Macron last season was a two colour half shirt with the fading of the colours where they met in the middle. I said "I think it would be different if we tried something like that instead of the straight cut line down the middle for a change." That's when he dared me. Be kind please... -

I agree, the silver line of that period of time where the club couldn't get a sponsor sorted in time, was that we could buy a shirt without the sponsor on it at the start of the season. -
Kit supplier and sponsor from 21/22
Cuppliance replied to alex l's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Yeah that’s what I was going to say. I think there is a good chance the sponsor will be like that as I think the sponsor last season had to be the way it was to cover the up the recoverite logo. -

I’m used to the totally wicked sponsor now. I think it won’t be as bad as last year as it needed to be that big to cover up the previous sponsor. Hopefully it’s more akin to that on the training kit and isn’t as dominant with the big licence plate size block on the front. -
I go to the home games but as I have other life commitments I only tend to go to one away game a season. This seasons away game for me was Reading which I did actually really enjoy despite the game being awful to watch.
