One down and a victory. 5 to go.
-
Time for a change then.
-
Goozburger used to do this. No idea what happened with him /her.

I watched the latter stages of the first half and all of the second half. Burnley equaliser was bummed up as the goal of the season by the commentator but what the hell was the Boro keeper doing so far off his goaline? Poor keeping imho.

Griping about how many will attend this fixture ffs! We ain't Leeds United fans fellas. It is what it is for gods sake.

v Hull City (a) - 07/12/2024

Plus, some of there better players have left since we last played them. Draw a minimum for me. Just don't lose whatever the performance. -
Wow! Love your optimism mate. Come on really. What do you think?

Could our next 6 games be season defining or not? Off the top of my head, in no particular order.. Hull City away, Sheffield Wednesday away, Luton Town at home and Millwall away. Follwed by Sunderland at home and then them smelly bastards from near Yaarkshire. What would be a satisfactory points haul from those fixtures? Considering we tend to play well against the better teams as expressed in our last 3 results should we be expected to do well or are we going to produce another Stoke City at home or an awful Coventry away performance? Personally, I think we will know for sure we're we stand after January 4th. Heres hoping and not tempting fate.

Very pleased with the win but equally pleased that neither Travis or Cantwell picked up a booking which would have meant a suspension. Both are needed for the Leeds game imho. Cantwell had an off night tonight but Travis, who I don't really rate too highly, played very well. Well done also to JE. -

If we were to be awarded a penalty at some stage I wonder who the designated penalty taker would be? Tempting fate! -

A 4 nil. Home defeat won't happen imho It will be a close call I think.. Just hoping we can nudge it somehow. @KentExilehad a good idea regarding Pickering back in and playing Beck as a left side midfielder. I'd go with that but I'm afraid Eustace will stick to the same boring shite. -

I. Hope that's not true. Hedges needs sidelining. At least Siggy has a goal on him. -

Why was siggy not in the squad v Sheffield United? I'd give him a start over Hedges if he's fit. I'm becoming impatient watching Hedges and Dolan tbh. -
v Watford (a) - 26/10/2024
Aqualung replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I watched the game on Rovers TV and one of the commentators, Warren Lucy, was absolutely convinced that the penalty decision was recommended by the 4 th official who was bullied into it by Watfords manager remonstrating like a mad man. -
Im not going to criticise Eustace as I think he's doing a decent job. But we are difficult to watch for sure. Tippy tappy at the back then out to the wings where space is cramped. Out left Dolan, Cantwell and just behind Beck closey followed by West Brom midfield and defence. It's the same on the right when Cantwell and Dolan switch over there. That leaves Travis ( who I thought was great tonight) and Tronstad exposed. It's tedious to watch and we rarely get a decent cross into the box. That said we aren't conceding at home which is pleasing tbh. For me we just need to get Cantwell into the middle somehow and help the likes of Yuki or Mak.

Best efforts on goal from both sides were defenders. Says it all really.

We rode our luck today. We got lucky. I can't help feeling that if Cantwell was to be used centrally we would be more pleasing on the eye. I still have a feeling that Eustace doesn't really know his best starting 11. Win against West Bromwich Albion and I'll start to believe. -
v Coventry City (a) - 1/10/2024
Aqualung replied to jim mk2's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
A bit hard on Yuki to be honest. He isn't the only one who's passes go astray. Look at Travis tonight.... Bloody garbage in his passing and he's not the only one. It's the midfields job to supply to the forward players... And sadly that's not happening for whatever reason. No need to single out a new recruit in a new country, new language and new surroundings in such a short time. On to Plymouth. -

Coventry were crap but we were a lot crapper! I don't know where these type of performances come from. I watched the whole game and at 0-1 I was still confident of at least a point. But absolutely nowt happened. Nothing. Got to make changes for the Plymouth game surely. Get Gueye in, ohashi behind him and leave Weimann on the bench. Get some bloody crosses into the box and see what Gueye can actually do before slagging the lad off. -

Must be changes at HT. Nobody had played well to be fair. Weimann off and Guyue on for me. Coventry doesn't look to confident at the back and aren't much better than us. -

I'm hopefully expecting a decent result. At least a draw for me. I seriously don't want a repeat of that performance down at Bristol City last season. We will lose a game at some point but hopefully not at Coventry. Guyue to notch his first championship goal.
