  1. Rovers can only sign players for a fee that there is no competition for. Other clubs are simply better, quicker to make a decision, quicker to get the cheque book out and a lot less convoluted higher up the chain. We need owners that are closer to home. The fans will turn on Waggott immediately this year. Probably right after Pears spills it.
  2. People are missing the point. We are still operating on a one in one out policy when the squad was already too small.
  3. and the other issue is the squad isn't getting any bigger. Gallagher, Telalovic, Fleck, Wahlstedt, Ayari and Moran all out. That will be a major problem AGAIN over the course of the season. It was already too thin with them. We were overwhelmed by most teams benches ALL season!
  4. I suspect he'd be better centrally. He has no pace to play out wide but is a neat finisher. I've been hugely disappointed by him though, like most have.
  5. A club with no clear vision that will sadly never emulate the Brentford or Brighton model due to out of their depth, incompetent owners. They have had plenty of opportunity to do so. It works as further proof they have no clue and will never be able to execute a vision. God knows how they've kept their business running.
  6. Szmodics had a season that he'll probably never have again in his life. It offered us a lifeline to invest in the squad, properly. Glad we are more active but so far we haven't spent the amount needed. Even with his form we desperately needed a better left and right winger, a quicker left back and most importantly a goalkeeper (or two they were that bad)! We also had a world class CM for half the season, a well ran club would replace him with another player that can play a pass, in theory we should be spending a mil or two on a central midfielder. Today was a start and we needed a flurry but we were so far behind anyway, that's all it is, a start. To progress we have to move away from the one in one out. The squad was already too thin and barely survived on Sammie's freak season.
  7. Raya and Wharton!! We have done really well for fees in recently. If the owners were willing to spend a bit we could make a Gary Bowyer "good go" of it!
  8. The lightning fast forward will initially join Rovers’ emerging talent group, where he will hope to impress for Mike Sheron’s side as he looks to make the next step in his career into first team football. Mafoumbi becomes the third new forward to arrive at Rovers in the last 24 hours. Confirmed. U23 signing. 👍🏻
  9. and now deadline day all makes perfect sense 🐌 We are into added "India time"!
  10. Gallagher is great at defending the front post on corners, he's also good at carrying the ball with strength from deep to relieve a bit of pressure from time to time. He also does seem to occupy defenders with his presence but we are starting to clutch at straws there. On the whole he's relatively useless and overpaid.
  11. It was in relation to player sales. Not purchases. Please stop kidding yourself, it is coming across as intentionally provocative. You are completely ignoring the reality of what is happening at the club you love.
  12. Couldn't even get a few hundred to harmlessly throw a tennis ball.
  13. Health. I don't see any issue with fans attempting to get a refund. Go for it. It's about time they pushed back in every way possible. They need to know there are thousands of unhappy customers.
  14. I know plenty of people that want a refund on their season tickets. As daft as it sounds it almost seems a reasonable request.
  15. I haven't seen a worse squad than this in 30 years supporting Rovers. Thank you Venky's. It's long over due that you fucked off! Total negligence, shouldn't be anywhere near English football. Ignored by the media. Supported by the local postmen (The LET). A club ruined in Pune and happy clapped by the majority of fans throughout. That is the reality. Not a penny of the Wharton money reinvested. Not a penny of last seasons unspent budget spent. Not a penny spent this season. Total scum (Waggott included)
  16. Insanely disorganised and depressing from the club. A total sign of the times at Ewood under Waggott and Venky's. God knows how they've sold any season tickets.
  17. Waggott will ram this down our throats as a marquee signing. The budget blown.
  18. That isn't his fault or the fans fault, again it comes back to the club and the owners. It's hard for anyone to have confidence in any target or decision they make because of the way it is being ran. Naturally you would expect signings in our circumstances to have less of an impact than ones at well run, well scouted and well funded clubs. The reality is they aren't doing enough in the window, they haven't for years and the reaction to this signing is just collateral damage. Good luck to him, I really hope he's a good un and importantly... the first of many!
  19. "I'll judge them at the end of the window" ... just like I did last window, and the one before when they refused to invest properly in the first 11. The story of a Blackburn Rovers fan if you've got a very low IQ. Their way of "running" a football club is not sustainable and will never result in success on the pitch. VENKY'S OUT!
  20. The first game is 3 weeks away. Incredible we haven’t signed a player. When we needed 6 or 7. We had squad size issues last season even with a bunch of loans. We also had (and still have) some really poor players in the first team squad. It’s total negligence from the owners. We had Adam Wharton playing passes half the squad couldn’t even see, for half the season. His money simply had to be reinvested in quality players to stand any chance. They must be selling the club, surely.
  21. So far the window is a major two fingers up to any season ticket holders.
