  1. Are we still 5 or 6 years behind Brentford now?
  2. We still have one of the worst managers in the league and it's going to continue into next season with a few thousand less fans.
  3. He was keeping the squad fresh to ensure we got promotion... 😂
  4. A completely reactive football club. No wonder we're 5 years behind Brentford... sorry Barnsley.
  5. Got to say I'm finding it difficult to support a club where the fans happiness is so unimportant. This week showed just how important fans are to the game but at Rovers we haven't been listened to since 2010. It's difficult to take and continue to support financially and with enthusiasm. Neville's comments about certain owners being imposters is exactly right. “You never hear from the owners of these clubs” he said - that part really resonated with me and I'm sure it does with many others. Venky's should be ashamed at how they've estranged so many fans from this great and historical football club. I realise, and couldn't care less that they've supported us financially, many others could do the same but loyal, hardworking fans take greater joy from much smaller gestures than that. The fans want to be listened to and feel a part of this club. A manager losing the fans should mean something, it has to. Someone somewhere is not getting that message across and the fans have been failed yet again.
  6. Surely he is done? I mean surely this has to be it? No more of this please. I won't be watching or attending a single game with him in charge.
  7. A crap manager. Crap performances and crap results. When will the owners figure it out?
  8. It's time to protest against the manager IMO.
  9. Imagine having to adapt your game to a wide forward when you have all the physical attributes of a CF and because your manager failed to sign players that suit his own system. He should be used as an impact sub and his first touch worked on in training.
  10. Winnable game but it should be a different manager getting this opportunity.
  11. He's right, there isn't a winning mentality at the club under him so why would we expect the difference between 9th and 17th to mean anything. I didn't expect anything less. Listening to that, it's a man that isn't going anywhere, career wise or out of the club. It also sounds like player wise we have a bunch of amateurs trying to make it as pros, which is news to me. He seems to be forgetting completely about the playoffs. They are a lottery to give 4 more teams outside the top 2 a chance of promotion. That simply has to be the target, I'd say every fan would have been understanding had we just missed out on them but at the very least challenged with this squad; which we might have done this year under a different manager. The issue he's avoiding completely is the consistent underperforming and overall underachievement of the current squad, and with that his complete and utter failure as a manger. It seems as though recently he's tried to point the finger at the fans expectation's being out of line, whereas I think everyone realises promotion was unlikely, we were outsiders for that. The issue is that the manager is not getting any results (quite literally) and the squad is drastically lower in the table than it should be. That is why the fans want him out immediately, not because we aren't getting promoted. We are in fact very reasonable people. This current league position is the managers fault and has been coming. Not winning promotion is an entirely different issue, it will take time but I can guarantee even with a much better squad than this Mowbray would not be able to do it. As others have mentioned, canning him so late impacts next season too. Underprepared and prepared to fail for yet another season, whilst risking relegation in the current one with a talented squad! The owner's need to wake up and get active.
  12. Elliot has done more this season than many of England's current best players did when they were 17 going on 18. Absolutely no chance we will be buying him, sorry.
  13. These kind of departures for me are down to bad man management and the bureaucracy of BRFC under Venky's chicken. In other words it's a sh*t show of a club.
  14. Power and pace but positioning and general defending needs improving, that's not to say it won't, definitely a great prospect that we should be tying down to a long term contract. Foolish from the club and he will probably progress more elsewhere.
  15. Poor Steve will have to wait a few more years for retirement now. The fudd.
  16. Agree he should have walked. If results and performances were the priority he would have. Unfortunately they aren't.
  17. It's unusual at this level. Typically Premier League strugglers go through patches like this but they are more often than not known to be out of their depth in that league. 15+ without a win would get you in the Premier League's all time top 10 worst runs after Ipswich. Totally unacceptable at our level though and no manager would survive it at a club with competent owners.
  18. We've suffered two relegations already because of the owner's inability to do anything. It's appalling we haven't had a senior statement addressing this issues at the club given the seemingly near 100% discontented fan base. If they have a reason to keep him, please let us know what it is.
  19. Unless a decision has been made and both or one is gone, Waggott has proved himself to be totally inept in his role.
  20. The one positive I'm going to take from Mowbray's performance this season is the exposure of Waggott. As a club we needed a CEO that the fans can trust to make the tough decisions, friendships aside, for the good of the team. He isn't the man and the sooner both are gone the better. The issue we have is that both tick all of the boxes for our inept owners and one plans to make them a significant amount of money. Unfortunately I think we'll be protesting at Ewood again soon enough... Can anyone tell me another club on the planet where the manager essentially hired his CEO? There may be one but it seems extremely unusual to me (??), and if there is I'd like to know how that turned out. It's been a frustrating season but any fan who thought Mowbray was a good manager, even at the end of last season, or thinks that the recent form is not his fault, really does need a reality check.
  21. It's refreshing to see managers like Allardyce still animated on the touchline, wanting to influence things or Arteta talking about their defeat, accepting responsibility specifically for not getting the best out of his players and vowing to improve. All things I wish we had in good or bad times. Ultimately it's just a bit of passion.
  22. I find it strange that articles are coming out about summer plans, relegation this season is a real possibility in current form and Mowbray is being asked about budgets for next year by the local press and answering. Bizarre. The precedent was set before today's game. This club is a total shambles from top to bottom. Waggott Out!
