  1. It's looking like he's going to be a crock. Exactly what we don't need.
  2. We could well see a smaller gate for Cardiff than we did for Walsall. It wouldn't surprise me if BBE based supporters just think 'F'k it, I'm nor sitting in the JW' and don't bother going. Instead of building upon what was a good gate against Walsall, and on the success of our run last season, Waggott decides to go the other way.
  3. No mistake. On the online ticket planner thing, only the JW is available.
  4. Closing the BBE for a competitive first team game - presumably to save a few quid - is a disgrace.
  5. It's as if whoever is responsible for the media posts does it on purpose and is having a laugh.
  6. Setien sacked at Villareal. I wonder if the next guy rates Brereton....
  7. The 1975 game was the very first Rovers game I attended. Sat in the old Riverside stand with my Dad. Hooked ever since.
  8. Don't 'care about getting through'? Wow. Personally speaking, I want us to win every single game we play.
  9. Dolan needs his confidence building back up. Playing him at full back would do just the opposite.
  10. I generally take no notice of the happenings over there in West Yorkshire. This morning though, I stumbled upon the the brick throwing article on the BBC, saw a link to their match report, squinted my eyes, and had a read. Looking at their team selection, it looks like Kompany has ripped up the majority of last season's side. That's a big gamble on his part.
  11. I'd stop digging if I were you. Travis was excellent.
  12. We'll get a bit of a pasting here I think. Our defence has looked iffy thus far and we'll struggle for chances, let alone goals, with our probable forward line. 3-0 Watford
  13. I agree. He seems more interested in flashing his abs these days.
  14. What's actually 'lol', is that having been out for a few beers after watching your side entertain the best side in England, the first thing you do post match is jump on a fan message board of your most bitter rivals to see what they they think of you. Your inferiority complex is never far away.
  15. That's how I saw it. We made over 900 passes in the game, I'd wager most of which were triangles in our own half. Obviously it's great to win and you can only beat what's in front of you etc, but I find our style of play tedious at times.
  16. From what I've seen pre-season, our inability to score goals has obviously only worsened. I'm going 1-2 for this game, putting all the more pressure on Broughton to get a striker or two through the door pronto.
  17. My neighbour is a Wednesday ST holder. He's not optimistic at all, says they have a thin, ageing squad.
  18. We don't need someone just to keep things ticking along. We need someone with the wherewithall to grow the club.
  19. It would be a mistake to drop Travis and Szmodics IMO; we'd miss their energy for starters.
  20. Well if we played them in a fully competitive game, they'd muller us
  21. Girona are a very good side, easy on the eye and didn't really get of second gear if we're honest; at least a couple of levels above us. Their style is exactly what we should aspire to based on how JDT wants us to play. They'e the 10th best side in the best league in one of the top 3 or 4 footballing countries in Europe, after all. A good work out for us though, but unless we add depth and quality, we're going to struggle over the course of a season
  22. @Herbie6590 Splendid meeting you today and congratulations to you and the guys - @4000Holes et al - for putting on a good event 👍
  23. In spite of all the off field shenanigans, there's not many better things in life than being at Ewood. I'm once again looking forward to getting down there this afternoon to watch the Blues. Well done to all those who have helped to put this day in place. Let's hope for a great afternoon.
